We have a chance of setting up a Drunk Duck comics' creator alley at Wizard World Los Angeles in March. People who have their comics on DD would be able to apply for a free table at the show. Is this something that interests anybody? There would be some qualifications and stuff, but nothing difficult. If enough people are interested we will set it up. Interested?

We will need at least 12 individuals who can go to this event to make it worth pulling off. We need everyone who wishes to apply ( Simple application process... ) to state their intent by early January.

We will setup a submission form in January, if enough interest is shown.

What exactly are the dates and times of Wizard World this year.
I think getting an exact schedule of events and location would help me be able to decide whether I could even be up for this.

I would go to that...if I really wanted to drive that many hours to get there and there's no school on those days...and if I actually had things to put on a table...and if I wasn't afraid of strangers.

Hmmmm, Spirit has a direct flight for $94 at that time which is a great price.
(I have to pay $400 to fly to see my family the next state over with 1 connection. This is two opposite ends of the country.)

Its really tempting, but so far it doesnt seem many people can go and I'd feel silly being the only person who doesnt do amazingly awesome pro comics. Maybe if more people sign up... I'd really start considering it.


Plus, getting a whole weekend off requires an act of congress for those on the bottom of the company ladder.

If this thing actually went down and there was a legitimate DD showing, I would drop anything I may be doing that weekend and drive my ass down to L.A. I'm only, what? Six or eight hours away?

But if I did show up, the question becomes: Who wants to get drink-hazed like their freshman year? (Which, coincidentally, doubles as a perfect cure for shyness.)

Hrm... LA *is* just 8 hours by car for me... or preferably, a quick hop on el cheapo airlines...

But it is still LA... and would be somewhat costly when you add in hotel and food. -sigh- If I had something really cool to put on a table I'd consider it; but as it is, I'm still trying to get back to regularly scheduled updates.

One of these years I'm gonna get it together and hit the San Diego Con.

I'm in. Absolutely ... I've gone up to LA for Gnomon Workshop weekends (art training: http://www.thegnomonworkshop.com/ ), so it's totally no big. I also regularly attend the San Diego Comic-Con (http://www.comic-con.org/cci/ [comic-con.org]). I'd prepare samples, do sketches, have limited run sketchbooks on hand for sale, and perhaps even audio CDs of the songs I'm posting with Mark DeCerbo. In the immortal words of Porky Pig, "Th-th-that's all, folks!" but hey, Th-th-that's enough! Jump on this bandwagon; there's plenty of room!!!

Oh, and I'm already starting a diet so I can look reeeeeeeeeally svelte in LA ...
