I keep telling myself to forget about mmorpg's, yet I found myself very anxious about this game. Apparently it is a joint project between Korea and Japanese developers, so yeah...no news yet about an American launch. The game allows you to choose between 3 races Namekian, Human, and Saiyan(why choose any of the other two?). The former starting on Namek and the latter two on Earth. I read that they even let you start as a kid and grow old a la Fable. Probably that only two weak points are that there may be not many options for customization and that they could be relying on fans only for players instead of trying to appeal to a wider audience. Well it's time to stop writing, I leave you with a link. http://www.dragonballonline.pl [dragonballonline.pl]

If its not a shitty grindfest and an action game with murder like fable, I'd be more interested.

I have such mixed feelings about this. It can either be the greatest thing ever or one of the biggest piles of crap to ever make it onto a console.

I think it would be pretty cool, but I get this gut feeling that it will be shat up by a bunch of kids pretty fast (considering it is a kids game after all). And as anyone with a Live account will tell you, kids on Live = annoyance.

Yeah, no matter how good this game is, guaranteed a huge percentage of the userbase is going to be Mountain Dew addicted preteens who like the show because of the fights that are needlessly stretched out over 3 or more episodes. Personally, I'm a fan of the Dragonball franchise, so the concept piques my interest, but I'll have to wait to see if it's anything of substance or just another licensed game crapped out to cash in on the popularity of the series. DB games have jumped all over on the quality scale, so it's really hard to predict what to expect.

I'd rather have a Naruto online, so I can walk around fantasy Japan killing countless Naruto players, Sasuke players, and Sakura players.

Oh you don't know how right you are. Oh wait, yes you do.
Please, please, you give me too little credit.

Sadly I couldn't agree more, especially in America where they try directly to appeal to kids and preteens rather than a general public for anime games. Guess that's why I liked Guild Wars over Ragnarok, it had a more mature audience...still it'll be interesting to see how it turns out.

This would be even better given you can't ruin it so easily by throwing a kunai than by blasting randomly into other players.

This does sound pretty cool. I'd definantly start out with a baby Namek. There's not much out there cuter than a baby Namek. ^^

I won't mind playing with the tweenies if they're still fans these days, but while being a living DBZ info booth (GT? What is this GT? I know not of a existing GT... *whistles*) it's gonna be interesting to see what stays from the show and what doesn't. All I want is a fun game.

Oh, and you know all those ghetto acting kids on live, the ones that throw the "n-word" around every three words or so?

They fucking LOVE Dragonball Z. I know this, I used to live in a ghetto, and Jesus there wasn't one kid who didn't like DBZ. And most of the people there were from all over, California, Ohio, Illinois... So I'm assuming it's pretty much all over.

Those kids ate the Budokai games up like crack cocaine, making it hell to get my hands on the controller to my own damn game. I can only imagine the hell this game will be made into. An evil mix between screaming Deviant Art tweens and gangstas who just keep running their mouths.

Any luck and they'll all kill each other.

And watch. Someone'll find mods to godmode their character so I won't win any tournaments. *sigh*

I still wanna give it a try... maybe I'll find someone older than 16 to spar with.

The whole point of DBZ is superpowered kids kicking the asses of you oyajis who were the strongest 10 years ago.

Not a matter of winning or losing, it's a matter of having some gangsta brat asking me what the controls are and calling me a "nigga" every time I help him. It's annoying. The whole Xbox Live experience is this way, but in some instances it's going to be worse than better. DBZ is just opening the flood gates. It would be worse than Halo.

Which is a shame. It seems like a very fun game, but it's marketed towards children, and I have to put up with enough of those in Gears of War, so I'm probably just not going to buy DBZ:Online.

Hmm...while the tought of flying around and screaming ridiculous sounding names of my attacks does sound appealing...I can't help but feel this is gonna be one of those games where everythings gonna be a grindfest with not much content aside from that..

i agree completely but i hope we get to choose our own jutsu's and not pick from a premade character ability thing
A hot kiss is like a loose spiderweb, someones fly is gonna to get undone
A democrat is someone who would be a republican if he had the money
A blond can be bad at history and great on dates
A golfer yells"FORE", takes five, and writes down three
A brassiere is a device to bring out a girls best points
A husband is a man who gave up priveleges he never knew he had
Bad Sex is an oxymoron
