i never played it for xbox i play it on PC.
Never played the PC version, so I can't compare the two, but still...
And don't even get me started on Halo 2!

Doom was good, Descent was better.
Agreed, but Descent was such a different type of FPS that I consider it in a league of its own.
Unfortunately, I doubt we'll ever see a Descent 4 even though 3 was amazing.

For me, the best first person shooter (on rails, though) ever was Police 911.

That was a light gun game though. Those don't really count as true FPS. They ARE fun as hell though.

the most recent FPS i played was Perfect Dark: Zero which still has a scar on me... piece of shit game... oh what? oh yeah. I liked Call of Duty 2. sittin in a campin spot, snipe a noob, switch spots, frag along the way, get yelled at, and win. God that felt good. Never played Doom online but I have beaten them all. IDDQD still sticks with me (godmode in Doom 95 (i guess thats 2??))

Doom 95 was the game engine ID software made so Doom would run right in Windows 95. It's compatible with both Doom 1, 2, and Final Doom.
