I don't. Haven't for years. Can't stand having what I'm watching constantly inturupted by commercials. I also find I get a lot more done without a TV, and most of my friends have discovered the same. If we want to watch a show we download a season without the commercials and make a weekend of it.
What about you? Still zoning out to the boob tube?
Wish we had a poll option...

Nope, I haven't really watched TV in my entire life. I always get bored and fidgety a few minutes in.

I watch the news, and History Channel. I've lost interest in nearly everything else, because it's so chopped up by commercial breaks.

Not at all. I rarely even watch movies or stuff I've downloaded any longer.
Heh, probably means that I'm missing out on a lot of stuff (popculture-wise), but I get all my news from the net and radio and for entertainment I listen to the comedy and drama shows on the BBC4 and BBC7 net radio feeds and listen again features.
Check it out:

BBC7 listen again [bbc.co.uk]

I only get two channels (CBS and FOX), so.. needless to say I don't really bother watching it very much, lol. I like House. But that's pretty much the only show I watch, and half the time I forget it's on anyway.

I live off of the television. I learn a lot from it too (books help, but I get bored really easily from books).
I also need my cartoons... it gives me something to learn off of.
Lately, though, the T.V. bores me because of all these new, dumb shows...

I don't have TV. I have A Tv, but it only gets one channel, that I hate.
I generally watch a lot of DVD's though, sometimes TV shows on DVD, I have it on in the background while I'm doing something else. Like recently I've been playing Final Fantasy, but on my computer I watch World Poker Tour while I'm doing it, because I don't really have to pay attention, I'm just running around hitting stuff.
The same goes when I do art, I usually just like something to fill the space. I only ever watch TV shows online, and then its only a few, because I only have so many lunch breaks, and only so many of those are spent at my computer and not playing poker. I have to catch the office every week, I also like my name is earl and 30 rock, but I don't usually see any of those till they're out on DVD. And I try to catch family guy and the new season of the boondocks when I can, but I usually miss 'em, and thats pretty much it.
What I miss most about TV is the Colbert Report.

I seem to be in a minority here but, yeah, I watch TV.
I no longer flick aimlessly through channels in the hope of stumbling upon something worth watching, though. I choose what I want to watch first (movies, Lost, Heroes, Smallville, Ugly Betty etc) and just make sure I'm in front of the box for those.

I sometimes watch TV once in a week.
My sister hogs the TV and my parents refuse to subscribe to the channels I used to watch until they changed to DirectTV.
Also, the good shows are only on times when it's impossible for me to still be awake.

I'm a television addict. I mean, I just saw Pokemon. :)
But there are some good channels here in England, I mainly watch 'Whose Line', 'Qi', 'Scrubs' and lots of other comedies. I also watch quite a bit of anime on the boob tube. I haven't actually realised the quality of television in comparison to the Internet. Seriously, when I took a gander at 'Bleach' after catching in on the web, I was like 'Wow..'.
But you know, each to his own.

I almost never actually watch tv (except for Studio 60, which I'm really enjoying at the moment)... however, I do like to have it on in the background when I'm doing trad painting. I can't stand to work without some kind of other sound and distraction, I can't concentrate. For digital, I always have loud music and usually am surfing the net at the same time. :)

Other than that, no.

I do, but only my favorite shows, like Futurama, Law & Order, Ghost Hunters, Digimon, Billy and Mandy, Eureka, The 4400, etc. I don't usually just watch TV for no reason. And I can't stand watching shows on DVD. I prefer to catch them when they come on. I watch movies on DVD. I have had the entire series of Garfield and Friends for years now, and have only seen about 30% of the episodes since I got them.

You'd expect I'd see a lot of TV, since I'm a cameraman for the local network, but I hardly ever do. There's only one show that I watch every week, plus sometimes I check out our own channel (the one I work at) to see my work of the day, but that's it.
I am, however, a DVD addict. I buy shitloads of DVDs all the time. As for series and cartoons, I download those by the season. I hate watching a cartoon or something and it's really cool and all and then you have to wait 'till next week. It sucks.
So, no TV for me.

If I'm awake, my TV is on. I'm not always watching it, but it is a necessary background noise. (I tried music, but I'm just not into it.) Mostly, I leave it on either Comedy Central (I love stand-up) or any oldish sitcoms -- stuff that has been canceled but picked up by cable channels like Nick@Nite, Lifetime, or TVLand. I've seen every episode many times, but it doesn't matter. It makes me happy to have it playing.
The only new/still running show I've been watching recently is Chuck. (Though I tend to miss it and watch the full episodes on the internet instead.)
Oh, and I collect DVD's too. Mostly any subtitled Detective Conan that I can get my hands on. I also have the complete Get Smart series and a handful of complete anime series too.

I only have a few shows I turn the Tv on for (Heros is my main addiction right now). I like to keep an eye on the news, documentries and films too. Sometimes I end up getting sucked into the junk the rest of my family watches .... like Hollyoaks *shudder*

For about 15 years all I watched was Buffy and Angel, but just recently (this last year) I've started watching quite a bit of TV again. It just seems like there's more on now that's worth watching. My favorites (also all I watch): Lost, Battlestar Galactica, Flash Gordon, Doctor Who, Heroes, Torchwood, The 4400, and probably one or two that I forgot. I'm looking forward to Bionic Woman, the new Terminator series, and the new Star Wars live action series (which is probably still a couple years off).

I watch House obsessively. But besides that, no. I used to get a lot of TV by proxy when I lived at home, because of my sister, but now I just scramble to a dorm lounge every Tuesday at 9:00pm for my favorite disgruntled doctor.

I praise all that is holy and bright for the creation of DVR.
no need to schedule my life around TV showtimes any longer.
It is bloddy fantastic and encourage everyone and anyone to get one.
Especially with the new fall lineup...
Pushing Daisies, Reaper, Journeyman, Chuck and
returning shows like...
The Office, Heroes, Lost(when it starts back up next year), House, Supernatural...
And I don't have to fight with the wife to watch what I want...
she can record her shows too...Gossip Girl.
so do I watch TV?
um..yeah.

The only thing I see is reruns, except for football games. Every series I like that is still putting out new seasons airs the latest episodes while I'm at work -
The TV is really more of an annoyance to me, but it's not mainly the programming, it's the other viewers I live with. Everyone in this house watches it with the volume WAY too high, and they always leave it on when they aren't in the room. They used to do that at work, too, but somehow one of the other crews got TVs banned by the plant manager.
