I don't know if this counts as unique, but I know an actual diskette copy isn't easy to find.
It's called Castle Adventure, and it was created by a thirteen-year-old kid in, I think, '84 or so. My mom got it with her Tandy 1000 (I think) when I was just a tot. It was a nifty little adventure game that had you exploring a castle to find treasures and survive against evil monsters. Primitive now, so amazing to a four-year-old. I have an actual 5.25" diskette with the game, and just recently downloaded it (it's now considered freeware I believe) from this site.
Runs great in the DosBox with everything slowed way down. And it's still fun!

A Roll of the Dice now with full-size pages!
John Clyde now with ten times the tacky Hawaiian shirts!

Betryal in Antarina.
it was a pretty good game. It aws like a combation of A "choose your aventure story", a point and click game, and an stragetic battle game. they even had a few puzzle mini-games in there too.
It was different than other point and click games that while the items and people were 2D, you still didn't have to click on things to just get anywhere.. you could use arrow keys to explore the eviomivent in a 3d way. the point and click asespect came in when you had to click on people to talk to them, and choose what you wanted to talk about. you could even sometimes click on items or corpses out in the open wildress to loot them and stuff.
and the battles were set up differently from the rest of the game... while you usually saw things in first person view for the rest of the game. But the battles were set up in third person view, and you could select allies and "line up" them to the foe that you wanted them to battle, and even choose what you wanted them to do to them beforehand. kinda like FF tatics.
And you want to know the funny thing? it worked so well on my former pc.. but on this pc it shuts down before I can even get to the good parts. mainly because my pc is too powerful and mighty for the damn game! It's like my PC is so evolved that when I move in the game I kinda move quickly and that's too much for the game to handle.
pity, it was such a good game...for a early 90s game. :)
