It's stupid crap like this that keep me sidetracked and my comic from being updated... :/
I made this because I wanted to expand my "Geek" shirt collection. Actually, the only other geek shirt in my geek shirt collection is my Bob Ross tee. Yes, I have a shirt with the afro-sporting guy who paints trees on PBS.

True, I didn't come up with the idea for the sign, but the pics I saw this done in didn't look good as shirts and I didn't like the signs they used. I'm guessing they were going more for the "do not pass" and "pass with care" signs, but what Gandalf says in the story is basically a fancier way to say "Do Not Enter", so I used that sign.

It would be funnier with the Black Knight because that is essentially what he says.

Yes, but that reference is rather dated. Well, so is the Gandalf reference. Why don't we make some NEW jokes?

you really want a real dated reference. my first thought when i saw the image was "spy vs spy" but he's in red, not in black or white

But Spy Vs Spy is so un-hip now that it's retro hip, following from the Ouroborous Principle of pop culture. I should write an essay or something.

That's "None shall pass." But you're right. That would be funnier. And geekier! :)

Either way, a school teacher or professor should post it in their classroom. ;)

Where you been joe? Monty Python will always be cool. No doubt.

Of course it will always be cool, but a reference to a film from 1975 is by definition dated.

Yes, I will never such episodes as "The Spanish Inquisition", "The Buzz Alrdin Show", "Confuse a Cat", and "The Antilla the Hun Show"...

The Spanish Inquisition in particular is my favorite.

Have you ever seen the Sephamore Code version of Wuthering Heights?

Instant classic.
Why hello there.

Yes! That was awesome. I loved how the baby cried and the flags were waving in the crib. Brilliant!

I also loved the Funniest Joke in the World, Andrew "Two Sheds" Jackson, and Mr. Hilter.

Thanks for the feedback. My brother also pointed out the spy vs spy confusion, so I will change the beard.

As for Monty Python, putting a comedic shirt of Python on the web is more likely to be seen as infringement than parody. The only reason I can get away with Gandalf is the whole parody angle. Python's source material is expected to be off the wall, where LOTR isn't.

Six years ago I would have disagreed with Gandalf being less geeky than Python, but I guess the Jackson movies have made it a bit more mainstream than before.
