Don't expect anything for a while people, it's a miracle I'm gonna be able to keep the comics going up on time...

I'm gonna be out of town this weekend, and I have two huge papers I need to write for school due in a short time, as well as a few upcoming tests.

Comics will go up like normal, I just won't actually be here...

I'm sure most of you noticed this before checking here, but I didn't have a comic up this week.

Instead I just put up a drawing I did of Tanuki.

Sadly the series is on hiatus right now from it's supposed hiatus. Just until I finish the semester at school (which is on December 7th)

This isn't the first time I've prepared myself for this comic going on hiatus, December 10th isn't that far away, its all good ;)

Man....That was actually some really bad news,I really look forward for this comic every week.
Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut.....on the bright side,we saw TANUKIIIIIII,but we couldnt see her ass though...

I will have comic up tomorrow everyone, I promise.

I'm done with my exams so now I'm on Christmas Break. I am ready to draw more now.

I still get the feeling that this chapter is a filler . So far its funny , which is good , but you might include a small fight or something that has to do with story so it will stay interesting.

To quote Gouto from the first chapter of the story

"There's more to being a Devil Summoner than just fighting!"

The overall story of this series isn't just Johei getting into fights and becoming stronger, he's gonna have to go through stuff like this to grow as a summoner.

Some chapters will have fights, others will focus more on characters, but everything is still story related. This chapter isn't about fighting, it's Johei having to undergo a direct trial from the council.

The chapter is still story related, even if it doesn't have any fights in it.

I agree with you 100%. But the story is kinda expected , you know , its still the beginig of the comic , so Johei wont die , so he will find Tanuki .

I meant that something more interesting will happen , you said that this chapter will focus on Tanuki's and Johei's relationship , but I dont understand how making Tanuki have sex with him then running away , leaving him to die as a punishment from the council , will make them bond or increase their relationship . Tanuki just looked evil.

Dont get me wrong I dont hate this chapter , I actually think its going well so far . Just making sure of some stuff.

It all comes together, don't worry.

Finished the next few comics, so those'll be up on time. Like I said earlier, my goal is to finish the entire chapter before my winter break is over (which is like early to mid January, dunno the exact date)

But then you can all enjoy full blown Johei goodness :P

Just wanted to let you all know (as well as making a little reminder for Myself...)

The final comic for this chapter will be going up on March 11th, 2011. Exactly one month before Persona 4TW starts.

I hope you all continue to check the comic every friday until then for new comics, I won't be forgetting any of them.

I was really looking forward for the next chapter, for some action and more plot. Wish it won't go on hiatus for too long. P4TW is worth it, I guess.

Ok, wow...

I am not sure what's going on, but all of a sudden Johei is getting HUGE views.

Yesterday it got like 8,600, today it got over 12,000 (more than Persona)

So...I dunno if I was featured, or maybe some famous blogger liked my stuff, I have no idea what happened.

But views for Johei have just exploded.

It's awesome.

I know. I was surprised by the amount of comments. Well, guess that the comic will finally start ranking up. I am still really looking forward for the next chapter. Too bad its going on hiatus, I feel that long hiatus is gonna be bad.

I'm actually debating about what to do with the series once this chapter is over.

No matter what it'll go on hiatus. I've got school and Persona 4TW to worry about, plus I'm trying to get a part time job, and I've got a few other projects I don't wanna go into right now.

But I'm having second thoughts about completely revamping the series like I thought I would.

A lot of people are worried that once the series starts being drawn by hand that I won't get as much done and the series will eventually die.

And here's the thing about that...it's very possible.

But there are so many stories I already have planned for Johei and all his demons, even the ones we haven't met yet.

Raidou is never going to be my big legacy series. It's never going to be the one that I publish books of and sell t-shirts of. It will never be my crowning achievement as a cartoonist.

So I'm thinking maybe Raidou should just stay the way it is. My pet project. Update 1 or 2 times a week, keep the MS Paint style.

Just because I keep it in MS Paint doesn't mean I can't keep pushing myself as an artist.

So who knows? Maybe Raidou will be back sooner than we thought.

All I know is that I don't want the series to die. Especially now that it seems to be gaining a larger following.

I am gonna be really sad if the series died.
I was following this comic from the very beginning an it's great to have your own comic with your own characters so don't give up on it.
Not alot of people like the Devil Summoner series but I personally did like it.
The comic is going great so far, and I am one of it's fans so donot ruin it.
I prefer the comic staying in MS paint better than going on hiatus and die. So yeah, please change your plans.

Well like I said, it's gonna go on hiatus anyways. Just if I keep it in MS Paint it may not stay on hiatus as long.

And if I ever have some free time I may pop out the random comic (hell, half of the reason the comic even exists is because I was getting tired of drawing only Persona and wanted a side project)

I really do think I'll just keep the series the way it is though. I'll slowly improve things here and there, but the MS Paint style has become the norm for me.

I'm debating which one of two stories will be the next chapter. I'll either be introducing a new character or have a more sorta Baku story with a fight in it.

Well, if the comic will stay alive I am happy with anything.
Anyways, Baku is my favourite character and I would love something like that to increase his loyalty gauge. But, I think that will have to wait. It's been a while since we saw any new faces, new faces can keep things interesting. You can do the Baku chapter after it as some kinda of a break.
Finally, I know that Raidou is your secondary project, but that doesnt mean that you can give up on it. You said that you were proud of it, just work alittle harder for it and it will be okay.

anyway. I really like johei the 19, and I think it would be cool if you managed to stick ema in there a little more, cause she's a pretty neat character. she has the potential to become everything from johei's lover, to the big bad guy, ya know?

cant wait till the hiatus is over in jan... i hopeing you can make some refferances to devil survivor is that posible?
