Part of me is kinda sad because now the comic is on hiatus...

I'll actually take a poll once comic 125 goes up. We'll see what happens.

I really like Raidou, it's a series I'm very proud of. It means a lot to me when people read this series.

I mean don't get me wrong, I love my Persona stuff but...Raidou is my own characters and story, I'm always gonna be a lot more proud of it.

So, 7 more comics... oh Raidou Kuzunoha the 19th, I will miss you so much...

Hmm...I don't wanna give away too much but let me just say this.

In an upcoming comic (I think the one next monday) There is one line, I'll sure you'll all be able to pinpoint it.

It's basically a line that I intentionally worded a specific way to where Juichi COULD come back.

I don't wanna bring him back unless I come up with a story that I think would really require him. I don't wanna just bring him back for no reason other than a cameo, y'know?

So right now, no. I have no intention of bringing him back.

But I did leave the window for it to happen open to myself in case I ever want to.

Aw, I was already missing Juichi but understand that you want his appearance to have a story.

Anyways, hoping that there would be more interesting antagonists(?) in the future.

If you're reading this than you have seen todays "comic" and came here to check on my decision for the future of the series.

I was actually a little surprised to see how much my readers cared about my personal needs as a college student, overwhelmed by 2 other series and a future of tons of homework and studying.

However, I did decide...

I am going to do one more chapter of Raidou in the MS Paint style. It will now update on fridays only.

This means it'll be done in 25 weeks...which I think is longer than my entire semester lol.

I have also promised myself that the series art will evolve, so even though it's still going to be MS paint, I've decided to try and upgrade the art style a bit. I hope to hear lots of constructive criticism on it.

You readers who follow Raidou honestly are very important. I really enjoy this series and it's nice to know it has fans.

I hope you enjoy the next chapter, I promise you it's a funny one.

Ok everyone, this news really has nothing to do with my comics, but it IS comic related, and it's something I thought some of you may be interested in.

Today I went down to my LCS (Local Comic Shop) and picked up, among other things, the first issue of a small limited series called The Darkness: Four Horsemen.

Now I'm sure many of you have heard of The Darkness before, whether it's through being a fan of the comic, or just hearing all the hilarious reviews on the terrible video game.

But it's a fairly interesting story about well...the four horsemen. But here's the fun part...They're BIKERS. Yeah, it's pretty cool.

It's a 4 part series, Like I said, I've only read the first one so far.

But it seems interesting. Even if you're not a big Darkness fan and are interested in the 4 horsemen (which I'm guessing most megaten fans are lol) and/or bikers, maybe give it a look-see.

I'm gonna guess not many of you check this, but the first comic of chapter 6 DID go up today...

Anyway, I'm going to TRY to keep comics going up every single friday. But I want to sincerely apologize from the bottom of my heart if I ever miss an update.

I was actually excited when I found out it was updated. xD

And it's alright in advance if you ever miss an update. I'm sure your upcoming updates will make up for it.

Thats ok if you miss an update (I'll probably still cry like a baby, but its ok) Just try to at least let us know in this thread or something so we're not left hanging.

But for what it's worth, I have already finished next weeks comic.

I've also drawn all of the comics for P3F for the month of September, and I'm working on finishing April in P4TW (which is about...6-10 more or so)

Ok everyone. Five awards were given out today.

And one of them, was the award for Best Antagonist. Juichi was nominated, but in the end, I'm afraid he just wasn't cut out to be an award winning villain.

Even though he lost, the real joy was just knowing he was liked enough to be nominated.

And it was really nice to see him drawn in another artists style.

He needed his gloves. He would've won for sure!

Also, how about this: Every time you miss an update, you owe me a sexy Tanuki picture. Ok, just kidding. Although it would be nice... >.>

Are you going to update the cover art to reflect the new style? Or will you keep it the same to show the evolution of the art style?

ZX, I'm sorry you don't like the noses. I'm not really used to drawing them yet, so yes, even I've noticed they look weird at certain angles.

I'm experimenting with different things right now, I hope to still have my readers support through this.

As for re-doing the cover, I honestly have been thinking about doing that sometime.

However, since right now anything I work on in the series are the comics, I can't imagine doing that anytime soon.

So...opinions on the chapter so far? Johei and Tanuki totally had sex! Or did they? Only time will tell...

Ok, I don't think many people care, and this doesn't really affect the comic in any way, shape or form.

But if you go check comic #15 now, you'll see a brand new comic you haven't seen before...

Because I changed the Yatagarasu's DMV to a Bank.

The whole joke about Japan not actually having a DMV was funny to me, but the inner nerd in me started to get annoyed.

So I changed it to a bank, it still lets me keep most of my jokes for it, and it will be a bank for the rest of the series.

Was it hard drawing in the old art style again?

Maybe you could do something like a lost art comic, where you could keep showing the original page, and things like the character sketches for Persona 4TW.

As for going back to the old style, no, I wouldn't say it was too hard. But that may be because the old style is basically the FTW style.

I'd like to give an advanced warning here.

I might, MIGHT be a little late with this weeks comic (I'll still have it up on Friday, just maybe not right at midnight or 1am or whenever comics go up for you)

I have my history mid-term tomorrow and so while I usually use wednesdays and thursdays to work out the weeks Raidou comic, right now I've gotta study study study.

I just finished reading this comic(I mean,till page 131)I must admit,GREAT job,the story is really good,the plot,the battles,I was really taken by the story....
Anyways,I will just say/ask some stuff...
1.changing the style kinda confused me,in the middle of the comic you changed the style.
2.It's not as funny as Persona 3 FTW,but,it has alot explanations and events which is kinda nice,specially that the whole comic is made by you.
3.The change of style made it less cartoony,less funny.In P3FTW,I laughed alot of the characters expression more than the words itself.
4.I just wish this wont turn out to be something for adults,I love having adult stuff but not over doing it,this comic is considered for teens,based on funny jokes,artwork,action,suspense,drama,etc...Having Tanuki having sex with the dude is funny,so far the comic is clean,but,I really dont wish to turn things dirty,if you are going to do so,just warn me.(I will read anyway:P)
5.I dont know how to spell the first summoner name,so I will call him the crazy jack dude,I wanted to ask,can he use agi and bufu skills??If yeah,why didnt he use it??gonna make things alot easier for him.and,when he fused Pyro Jack and Jack Frost,to make the Black Jack gloves,I really didnt mention the difference...it just gave him some more punching strenght??
6.Will Johei keep using forks only?he wont be able to use magic and other skills??or this have to wait alittle??

-Well that's why I never changed the style in just the middle of the comic. I always waited until it was a new chapter. In the first chapter it used the FTW style but I didn't think that worked for the style of the comic. -It's not really supposed to be, is all. Persona 3 FTW was a gag-a-day type strip where I basically went "here's 4 panels, be funny" Raidou I'm trying to set up more as an actual overarching story with both good times and bad, it's not purely a comedy, but I do try to keep it funny.

-Again, that was sort of the point. Now don't get me wrong, I LOVE cartoony logic and styles. But since Raidou isn't meant to be as wacky or silly as the FTW series, I wanted it to have a somewhat more serious art style. You'll notice it occasionally changes to a floating head or a character with giant eyes, I do that sometimes.

-No, it will never be an adult oriented comic. Try to look at it like this. This comic is a sitcom. You won't see anything here that you couldn't see on TV

-Juichi (which technically means I spelt it wrong as the Japanese word for 11 is Juuichi, but whatever) and no, he's a summoner. He didn't have the ability to use any magic himself. Even in the comic if you recall, it's not like he has magic hands, he was wearing gloves. It's never really elaborated that much on but the Black Frost gloves basically increased his strength, made him immune to fire and ice, and also gave the gloves the power to do both. Like...remember when he used his frost glove to freeze Johei's arm? With the black frost gloves it would've done that while boiling his blood. Or burnt him on the outside but froze him on the inside like a bad fish stick...

6.Will Johei keep using forks only?he wont be able to use magic and other skills??or this have to wait alittle??

-Johei will always use forks, they're his "destined weapon" after all. I've thought about having some fights down the line where he'll use a pitchfork or a trident or something, but it would never be a permanent thing. And no, he won't be able to use magic. Basically this comic follows the rules of the Raidou games. Raidou the 14th couldn't use magic, so neither can Johei.
