About 2 years ago, i was talking to one of my friends about video games when he brought up a game called DDR. He said it was a dance video game but so much fun. Considering he said the word "dance" i did not believe it, but one day he brought the game over to my house and so began a crazy addiction to an awesome game.
Now in the present, i hadn't played DDR in several months, i had moved on to other games. But when my class went on a field trip to Six Flags over Georgia, my friend dragged me onto one of the machines in which i preceded to RAPE HIM...in the video game at least.
The whole event has spiraled me back into playing the addictive game. I haven't bought any of the DDR games since DDRMax2, i've gotten every song...its been 2 years....the game is still awesome.
I've never met anybody who had a gift for it, it takes practice to get good, but its fun even when your freaking awful. You even get a workout out of it.
What are some of your fondest DDR moments?
going away - The Game Room
DDR, still one of my favorite games

My fondest memory was when I decided to use the controller instead of the mat.

My fondest DDR memory was probably beating someone who was using the gamepad on my feet over Xbox live. (Ultramix 2 for the original xbox)
Now I pretty much just play stepmania.

DDR is fun, but I have crazy heart problems so I have to be really careful not to overdo it
I'm also doing that other comic "Space Waffles ".
We now have a podcast called The Random Pirate Comics Show!

I have Stepmania on my computer, which is a pretty good DDR facsimile in which you can download custom songs or make your own. I've created many, myself.
A few summers ago my brothers and I took our projector outside and projected Stepmania onto the side of our house to play it. It must've been about 15 feet tall or something. In fact, our neighbors saw it clear down from the bottom of our hill and came over to try it out. Seeing a farmer try his feet at DDR for the first time was fun. Even my parents played, and they hate videogames.
