so konami released their latest installment of DDR, DDR X.

Which came out about 2 days ago.

What's getting on my nerves is how it is released for the PS2, and not the "next gen" consoles, (PS3 and 360)

I'm thinking it would be a lot better for them to release one for the PS3 or 360 with DLC. Although I'm also thinking they're not doing that, because if they put all their eggs into one basket, nobody would go to the arcades anymore.

But then arcades are super popular in Japan and Asia. Not really in the US, I only live next to one, that's not a movie theater/bowling alley arcade. It is an arcade itself, that's like the only one within some like hundred miles.

While I was in Hong Kong, there were like arcades at every corner. I don't know about other places around the world.

It seems like Konami isn't paying that much attention to their over seas customers. Where arcades aren't that popular.

There have been three games released to the 360, all of which had DLC. I can still see why they would release this for the PS2, though. The market is bigger and has far more potential overseas than the 360, plus the pads available for the PS2 are easily ten times better than those available for the 360. Honestly, though, I haven't cared that much about the series since they started Americanizing the games and pulling out most of the Bemani music.
