I apologize if this has been posted already, but I was reading Scott Kurtz' PVP comic this morning and he had a guest strip up. The style was very familiar and I realized the guest strip was from our own Drunk Duckers, David Herbert and Paul Salvi of Living With Insanity fame! Congrats you guys, that's awesome! :)

Why are you reading PvP? It's the beige of webcomics.
Hey buddy, you should be a Russian Cosmonaut, and here's why.

Doesn't it stand for Poop vs. Penis or something?
I am so happy to finally be back home

I actually usually don't read it....I just happened to glance at it this morning, heh. Glad I did, or I would have never seen the guest strip.

I used to read Scott's DING! comics but he seems to have stopped drawing those.

What I think is kind of lousy is that he posted the wrong URL for Living with Insanity....I posted the right one on his Facebook page. ;) Gotta support fellow Drunk Duckers!

I don't think he posted the wrong url.

I think the extra traffic that doing the guest strip brought him ended up crashing his website.

That's the potential problem if someone with a high traffic count links to you. Your server may not be equipped to handle it.

The price of fame I guess.

It's a Grizzly Bear battling Zombies. Do you need to know more?
DOLLAR STORE HAIRCUT A daily webcomic of unfunny.

I know that PvP gets a lot of bashing because it's a little bit "bland"...and because Scott Kurtz can be a jerk sometimes (not in the same levels that B^Uckley can achieve, but still...) but considering that is one of those webcomics that have a decent amount of fans, that is pretty good...

I congratulate the Living With Insanit guys...

Well done!!!

They deserve it. They really got the strip up to a good level and make a good team!
I hope they get some new readers out of it.

About PVP- don't be cocks Custard and Sea Cow. It's an ok strip. Most comic makers can be arseholes sometimes, that's part of being human.
PVP is as it is- a long term webcomic that has good cross-over potential to newspapers, and yet not as bland, safe or as stale as newspaper comics tend to be.

It is exactly all of those things.

Have you READ a newspaper comic lately? I'm not saying that relatively the comic isn't those things, relatively everything IS, compared to something. Newspaper comics are the base standard above which everything else is rated in such matters. Nothing is as stale and safe as them, not even PVP.

In any case, that's really bad-ass, LWI team! *high five*

PVP will never be the blandest popular webcomic as long as Scott Johnson lives.

Scott Kurtz hates everyone who isn't Scott Kurtz or Scott Kurtz dad.

Well, when Platinum bought Drunk Duck, Kurtz referred to Drunk Duck as a 3rd-rate webcomic portal.

We had a good talk about it in this ancient thread .

Oh, is that all?

Sure 'third rate webcomic portal' is dismisive and a tad ignorant but the point he was making about platinum not making any webcomicers rich has proven true enough.
