ART
It works. The recent strips finally have a stable style, after all that crazy experimenting with wordbubbles and inking in the earkier comics. The art is perfect for the kind of comic it is, and character poses and expressions always enhance the jokes. It could be a little tighter in the linework department, but since I've only seend steady improvement in the art from when it started I'm sure in time it'll be fantastic.

WRITING
Man this comic is funny. The captain is brilliant, and so is that one nerdy assistant guy. I wasn't too fond of man in dress, because he usually brought about some kind of gross humor, which I'm not a fan of, but I'm sure other people are. But overall the writing is fantasic. Heavily character based and with wonderful timing. I laughed at almost every strip, so keep it up.

OVERALL
It's good! Keep doin your thang.

Okay... Too Far review.... let's get this started.

ART: Not too bad! I think it seems to work with what you're doing. It's not AMAZING though, don't get me wrong. But don't do too many of those pencil comics... those just ruin things.

WRITING: It's okay. Too many misses, but that's just me. Most of them are predictable, but it's got some good ones. Yeah, and the dress thing kind of adds a little bit of gross factor it could most certainly do without. But it does get better later on!

LAYOUT: BAD. It's an unwritten rule that people don't mind how TALL a comic is, just how LONG it is. And your comics are LONG. I'm not too much of a fan of the site design, either. The colors clash a wee bit too much.

OVERALL: Not a comic I would regularly read myself, but I can see others reading it. It's just not my thing. But if you like to do it, keep it up!

Site Layout- It's creative! I like the thing on the bottom which integrates the buttons in with the art. Cool.

Story- It's funny. Your characters are these wierd, zany guys who...are really wierd. The captain is kinda stereotypical, but the interplay between the characters is good. And there are some wierd things happening.

Art- It improves. Speech bubbles look clearer, and coloring and art get better as the comic progresses.

Some of these strips are really very funny! Good job! I would have written a longer review, but I was too busy reading the comic!

ARTWORK - I started with the first strip and almost stopped there. There art wasn't up to snuff, ya know? But man did you improve fast. Your most recent strips are very professional-looking so keep that up. The formatting and coloring are both very good.

WRITING - Okay, this is the biggie for me because my own pet theory is that writing is more important than art (and, if you've seen my strip, you'd understand why). I 110% believe that people are much more forgiving of bad art than bad writing. Now you are a long way from bad writing. Its quite good, easily better than the majority of comics on a site like Drunk Duck. But where you could improve is by tightening up the writing. Don't use 5 words when 3 will do, for example. Every single word in a comic strip MUST BE ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. These are not novels, not plays, not screenplays, not short stories and not even poems. Comic strips must be brief to the extreme.

LAYOUT - pretty good. I especially like the nav buttons, etc. My only complaint here is that your page is too big. Shrink it, and the strip itself, down some to eliminate the need for scrolling.

Keep it up. I've got your strip on my list of visit-agains.
