ART
Okay, really not good. Though if I remember correctly, you used to be a sprite comic artist, so seeing you draw anything is a step in the right direction. That being said, the art is pretty bad. All the characters are stiff as boards, and no thought is given to compostion, backgrounds or overall color schemes. Some backgrounds would be a start in the right direction, as would some shading, some angles, some not just having the camera at a perpetual waist height view. Photoshop filters do not a background make.

Expressions on the characters are almost non exsistant. They are in fact, there, but they're the sort of expressions robots would make. Which goes back to the previously mentioned stiffness. This looks mouse drawn, and I think it is, which is a problem. Try to get access to a scanner. I'm better your art will gain a little bit of fluidity if it's not mouse drawn.

So the art is bad. Keep working on it, and maybe put some more effort in.

WRITING

The writing is very, very not funny. And here's the thing, I am, in fact, your target audience. I know so much about Sonic it's ridiculous. I instantly "got" all of the references and jokes. I understood right away that it was Mighty hanging there, negelected because Sega seems to have forgotten he exsisted in the newer versions of the Chaotix. I got that. But it wasn't even a little bit funny.

This comic does in fact, have compitent writing. The character's conversations make sense and such, and the plot moves in a logical pattern. But it's never funny. Poor timing and lack of any expressions strong enough to drive the jokes ruins any humor this comic migt have.

So yeah, not funny.

CONCLUSION
The art is stiff and unpleasing, with a noticable lack of effort by way of lame photoshop filters for backgrounds. The writing is never funny, despite "getting" all the references. Also, there's the big, unoriginality, issue. It's great you're not doing a sprite comic any more. But you should really try making up some of your own characters and having them go on their own adventures. And quit drawing with a mouse.

So yeah, I don't like it. Sorry.

Art: Pointy. Though I can't get as harsh as Eggbert about it...simply because I've seen worse than this. At least it's clean. Just practice! ...and yeah, drawing by mouse is a bad idea. It would probably look a bit better if you did it by hand first. Also, this is just me mostly, but I'm getting tired of copy&past art....gag comic or not...try different angles and positions peoples!!! :x Also, two words: SHADING! BACKGROUNDS!

Writing: Even though I didn't think anything was funny, I was farely entertained at times. You should try to focus on the characters for the jokes and less on Sonic.....mysteries and corrupt...ed things.

Overall: Meh. I think fancomics are fine for improving, but they can also make everything you draw in the future look like hedgehogs....so be careful...but if you enjoy it...keep it up!

Just do me one favor.....don't add an extra hedgehog with different colors PLEEEASSSEEE!

Okay...

Art- Eh...pointy yeah. I can tell who the characters are but...other than that I don't like it much. It could be a lot better. But I suppose that takes practice. Keep on drawing, and use less photoshop effects. Maybe try for some BACKGROUNDS don'cha know... But the font is actually pretty good. It looks comick-y.

Story- Meh, I play the games so I got the jokes. But no...not really very funny. I mean, there's not a huge amount you can really do with Sonic. Frankly he's not the greatest character, only fun to play with in-game. So making a comic of his has always seemed to be something that would only be self-gratifying, but would not attract the attention of very many people. Maybe some 11 year old fanatic Sonic fans, but not mainstream. The writing is able to be followed, but overall is sub-par.

Overall- I didn't enjoy it too much. Try to practice more with art. Print out some of the sonic characters and try drawing them. Also think of...I dunno...funnier plotlines?

You know those sitcoms on NBC, ABC, or FOX, or that other channel? CSI, I think?

It`s kinda like that. The jokes, in my mind, it`s like hehe. That`s funny. But when it comes to laughing out loud funny, it`s not there. It`s like you wanna laugh, but you can`t since, it`s not strong enough. Kinda like that.
In short the writing is like a sitcom, you wanna laugh. but there`s not enough pushing force to let you.

The art. The art is something I respect, since well. You proved you can draw, and mostly put the rumors of that sprite comic artists (or writers, whatever) can`t draw. It`s a big step. I`m glad you took it. Still, Photoshop effects, No. At least try a picture (You know free domain) to at least try to set a setting, yes. Many comics lie in the abyss of red, blue or whatever the hell color you want of Photoshop effects. You have the power, to er. Not.

Aside from pages #4 and #5 not showing up. Whatever

What I think? It could be worth it. If only the flaws that hold your comic back could be gone, or reduced. It could be something, but there`s something holding it back. And that`s your job to figure out.

Thanks for the input, I needed the deflated ego. I've only heard good things about my comic, so its hard to see what needs to be improved when I'm being complimented all the time.

Okay, lets see what everyone said...

Backgrounds: I, personally, hate drawing backgrounds, but I guess its something you just have to do, regardless. I'm going to do a set change really soon, so actual drawn backgrounds will come in about 2 comics or so.

Bad art: I'm not sure how I could answer that... 'cause I'm not entirely sure what "stiff" means, but I'm sure it has to do with shading. I learned how to shade Sonic characters about 2-3 weeks after I started the comic, and I figured that the comic's art is passable, so I was going to leave it as is. But, meh, I guess i should stop being lazy. And also because I'm just so used to sprite comics, I found I have a habit of re-using old poses which I'm trying to stop. Ooh, and I'm also getting a drawing tablet for christmas(go me!) so mouse drawings will cease to be a problem, granted that I could use said tablet.

Bad writing: Okay... I guess I gotta work on timing... Thats about all I could say. I had all the writing basically planned out in a written script, but all of them have very bad timing in hindsight. Again, its really hard to see the bad points when people are showering you with compliments.

By 'stiff' it means that we don't think your characters look like they're standing around naturally. Their positions look forced.

Also, Sonic's arms aren't blue. They're flesh colored.

SHAME.

Actually, I knew that, but a person who was usually just a spammer was the first to notice, and so to spite him, I never changed it. I guess 'cause he's banned from smackjeeves I could change it...
