Okay. Sorry, but this really is your run of the mill sprite comic. There is nothing in it whatsoever to set it apart from the billions of other ones out there.
All poweful Author? Check. Stupid Sonic? Check? Fan characters? Check?
And it's not very funny either. In the fifty or so I read, I only laughed maybe once. It's just plain old unfunny writing.
It looks decent, for a sprite comic, but at the same time doesn't do anything Bob and George or any of the other comics out there already didn't do.
But this comic is very nice. And by nice I mean, educational TV nice. So I can't hate it. There's even some kind of prayer thing going on. And the complete lack of all profanity and sexual refereneces is nice for a sprite comic.
But still, comics are entertainment, and this doesn't entertain in any way. Sorry.

If you get that you play too much sonic.

Alright, it's a sonic sprite comic. You can deal with it, Ccs, you just have to pull through and try to read it. Just try and read it...
Oy vey, but really. Sonic sprites on an MS Paint background? Why...I haven't seen this since every other sonic sprite comic on the net! This comic has one thing going for it that many sprite comics don't have, however; it's readable. That's a big plus.
Now I'll tell you right here I'm a fan of the sonic games. I bought Sonic Adventure and SA:2, as well as Shadow the Hedgehog, so yeah I'm firmiliar with these characters. The fact is though that they're kind of made for video games or TV shows for 10 year olds, not for these kinds of comics. But whatever. I'm sure there is some audience.
4th wall breaking. Really. Original. Oh, a tie in with a previous sprite comic. More fun! Spelling 'boring' wrong! Yay! I've think I've had all I can stand. I'll read 10 more strips and tell you what I think.
Okay, overall I don't like it. Not a bit really. A sprite comic requires great writing to be good, and that's something you don't have. Try picking up a pencil maybe.

UUUUURRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
I just... don't know.
It's a sprite comic! But you knew that. Now I'm not one to hate sprite comics just cuz they're sprite comics... I read 8 Bit Theatre and even How To Make A Sprite Comic in 8 Easy Bits...
But come on man! Do you have to make it exacty like EVERY OTHER SPRITE COMIC EVER? You're ASKING for it! ASKING!
Where do I begin?
Fourth wall? Where? I guess they haven't had time to rebuild it after repeatedly ripping it down for WORTHLESS humor! Meta/fourth wall humor very, very rarely works. Just stay away from it, bro.
MS paint is a BAD, BAD way to go. VERY bad. Make your own art, man, and people will like you. It's true! Even if it sucks, it's better than not creating anything at all. You can get many free art programs, such as the GIMP, if you can't afford Photoshop. But you should really stay away from MSpaint.
Unless...
You make your own sprites! It's been done before, and sprite art can actually look quite interesting! If you become a champion of the miniscule, then it's more respectable than what you've got.
Just get this thing to break away from conformity. (OMG SO GOTH!)

Wow, another sprite comic... Wow, another sonic sprite comic... wow, another sonic sprite comic I really don't get...
I hate to be a jerk, but I really don't understand the whole sprite comic thing. It was funny the first time, but over the last few years... well I've gotten a bit bored.
If you are going to make a sprite comic, make one that isn't about a game that has been done into the ground. A sonic comic is about as interesting as a Mario comic, or a FF comic.
But good job on not making it a trashy sprite comic where sonic is doing coke off of Dr. Robotnic's ass, or Sonic and his friends sexually assulting Mario.
Good job on keeping it clean and in the true spirit of Sonic.
So I guess if a bunch of other people hadn't have ruined the sprite comic genre, this would be super cool.
So keep up the good work, but try to be a bit more creative...

Seems alright to me. I mean, the comics look alright and stuff. Bubbles are nice and everything, and so are the sprites(Although I prefer genisis style myself). But yeah, the writing might use alittle work, comedy wise and such to entertain more.
But I see what you mean, clean humour and such. Also, I bet you have alot of fun doing this. So cheers man, good luck with everything.

See that's the thing, Trevor. No one wants to read through 150 strips just to get to the good part (and believe me I speak from experience). Yeah it is another Sonic Sprite Comic. And people, geeze. Quit telling him to pick a up a pencil. The whole point of a sprite comic is to make a comic without drawing (And usually alot of people edit their sprites or make new ones, which is drawing technically) at all. Well it is your opinion and I respect that.
But yeah, at least you didn't make it totally sloppy (like I did with my first comics of Rick and Daphne :S) and that's good. I want to see a real good plot (unless it's supposed to be random) maybe with a custom sprite for the bad guy? :)

Meh, I feel like, when other sprite artists give say my comics are good, and give me constructive advice, I listen. Usually they are more understanding. But when the drawing people just bash it, and say dumb crud...I just ignore them, unless it is REALLY constructive...
So don't sweat it dude.

Just as a note, there ARE pixle comics that are really good. A Modest Destiny and Zelda Comic are two of my favorites. However if you keep on regurgitating stuff like this you're never going to get anywhere! I mean, try making your own sprites! Tell a story that way! But at least try to stick out from the crowd.
Oh, and by the way, people aren't "born" with artistic talent. They learn it. They build up skills.

Tater Salad
Hey guys! I make comics by pasting pre-made shit onto other pre-made shit so I'm an artist! People who put creativity in their comics should be ignored! It's people who ALSO make premade shit that I should listen to!
I didn't say I was an artist, or anything like that dude. And I didn't say that I didn't respect authors who draw comics, I really do. But them making fun of sprite comics and saying "Omg, this is shit, draw stick people" isn't going to help our comic series.
I KNOW Sprite comices are easy to do, and I KNOW that alot of them suck. I KNOW drawing is alot harder. So why don't you let it go?
Edit for the sake of staying on topic:

That's good advice actually, don't try to do the same generic stuff as everyone eles.

Oh dear god.
EVERYONE SHUT UP.
Especially you, Tater Salad. You can into this thread acted like an ass and started a fight for no reason, and half of your complaints were about sprite comics in general as opposed to about Sonicandpals comic specifically. I swear I will use this thread as ban material for you if I can.
Sonicandpals, just wanted to let you know that I infact based my review of only your most recent comics, and I wasn't impressed. You have an average sprite comic. Since that seems to make your fans happy, congratulations. But still, citing your daily hits in an argument about the mertis of your comic is pretty damn weak.
So hahaha, thread over.
