I've always loved Pinky TA

I can't make this a long lengthy review. So I'm sorry.

But from the very beginning Pinky TA has a completely professional feel about it.
From the start, PinkyTA it looks amazing. And going through the archives the art only improves.
Ozoneocean can draw vehicles really well.

The story is pretty gripping too.
I can't nitpick anything.

The only suggestion I have is to not change anything you're doing!

Well let us see here...I've been unable to review things lately because of sort-of-end-of semester work. But here we go.

I'm a fan of Pinky TA. The art is awesome. The WATER. It looks like so many ripples of some kind of paint mixed with CG. And the battleships...and the everything. One tiny little problem is that the characters kinda look stiff. When I conducted an interview with Ozone a while ago I remember hearing something about....I think it was that a lot of this is done on the computer. I might be wrong about that though. Anyway it's really nice art.

Story is where I get confused though. This beginning seems to not go very well into what happens later. Everything happens sort of suddenly without a lot of setup. And then there's the fanservice. Personally I don't favor the whole pink hair thing, so Pinky isn't exactly...how shall I say, attractive so much to me. Ozone also has a strange way of doing faces at certain points...but I'm getting off topic.

I haven't yet caught up the recent archives but I'm not sure where CC fits into the story from what I've read. I wish the story concetrated on connecting more with exactly who the characters are. But overall there's not a huge number of pages yet. Actually from the looks of the site I'm not even sure if I can access the old pages from the Duck.

Overall the art is beautiful but I need more time to analyze the story. I'll write something more later. Right now I need to study.

Pinky Ta, where to begin..

It has pleasing artwork that just echoes with a grand shading style that makes every panel stand out like a masterpiece. The writing is brilliant and quirky. Put them both together and you have one of the most terrific comics on the internet today. Essentially one of the most underrated and overlooked that I have ever seen in all my years of being in our humble webcomics industry.

Uuhh....I'd make a more lengthy review but most people here have taken the words out of my mouth.....or taken the typed words out of my fingertips.

Website design: Nice! Very pleasing to the eye and easy to navigate. Ah...I see you are a fellow comic slideshow scripter! :D

Art: Pinky TA's art, of course, is brilliant and very gorgeous. 'Nuff said. Makes my art look like a....pile a' puke!

Story: The story is unique and very interesting....I'm yearning for more. Though I would like to know a bit more about what's going on...like why is there a war going on? (Didn't see that anywhere anyway...sorry if I missed it.) Perhaps a bit more about Pinky's past?

Overall: IT ROCKS!

Lots of details and strong characters make it a good looking book. I just wish for a more centered story line it seems speratic at times but good. :)

ARTWORK - Hey, you know you are an artist. That's not news, right? Your artwork is gorgeous. So much so that it was the main reason I read (or tried to read) thru every page. I can't imagine you *not* going into comics professionally someday (sooner than later). As an artist, though, not as a writer. More on that below...

WRITING - Writing is my thing. Its what I think makes or breaks any comic with words. I give yours a 3 out of 5. Now before anyone gets pissed at me, let me explain. First of all, the text itself is extremely small in some places. Please don't help me go blind any faster than I already am. About the story: so much internal dialogue going on. I get it that Pinky is a loner, but I also have a good sense of her personality after the first few pages. My recommendation is write more dialogue between characters or, at the very least, show some growth thru the internal diaglogue of Pinky. Good story-telling (vs simple strip writing) requires character growth, right? Of course. I know that there's a huge back story in Pinky TA but I don't know what it is because mostly what we read is whatever Pinky is thinking at the time. Lots of ways around that. Narration, flashback or a seperate (seemingly unrelated) scenes. Pick one and I bet you'll pick up more readers.

LAYOUT - great. 100% sweet.

Overall, I will continue to drop in on Pinky from time to time, though I will always wish the story-telling lived up with the awesome artwork. Still, all in all, for a webcomic, Pinky TA is better than 99% of the rest. Keep 'em coming, John!
