Hmm. This strip strikes me as being kind of okay. Not great, not bad, just kind of in the middle somewhere.

It has some quite funny moments and some hardly funny at all moments , but for the most part the 'moments' are almost funny, but not really getting there .

Certainly the comic has a nice style, quite good characters, and is generally well presented. I guess the jokes just don't quite do it for me.

To summarise, this comic is quite good in all aspects, except it doesn't appeal to my sense of humour. It is unfortunate that humour is really the most important thing.

Review time again

Sorry if I sound like a badguy
I try to find good things in any work i read but in this case i cant sorry again

I remember this comic from smackjeeves ,Bogueto i remember no one like it there but they all have their reasons

Art .-its so crude , they are almost sketchy , i didnt like it, its boring .
maybe because the author has low skills (not big deal here just see how started collegue roomates from hell) but I dont see an evolution in his comic or any desire to do that

Story.- ok gag comic it does not have one , but i didnt like the characters or everything else i found this comic repulsive

for example this comic
http://www.drunkduck.com/No_Horse_Town/index.php?p=19410 this is not funny its creepy, in my country its a big deal its like i do a funny strip about the world trade center thing.

for example look at penny arcade even the comic its about blasfemy and mindless violence the comic its well written and funny but this one its not
just random and disturbing things

Sorry if its quick this review but I if i make it longer I would be trashing this comic a lot more and i made my point clear

from the reviews rules:

Anyone can review comics. All I ask is that reviews be IN DEPTH. No one line reviews, such as "I love it" or "I hate it". Try to give solid reasons to back up your opinions, and whenever possible, link to examples from the comic that support your reasoning.

And when reviewing, don't be afraid to be mean. People signing up for this should expect honest critiques to come their way. At the same time, don't flame. Give logical reasons for why you don't like something.

Finally, comics waiting to be reviewd should review other comics. As long as we keep a steady stream of reviews coming, I won't have to enforce this. So everybody do some reviews, okay?

Thank you.

And i did apologize twice,

about the kidnapng part as i said before Im from Mexico this is big deal here everyday we see people in the news kidnapped
(and in the streets dozens of people suffer this everyday)
we live in fear
Do you know the "Mocha Orejas" translated is the ear cutter he is famous because cuts people body parts and send them to their family
one thing is when Gabe from penny arcade kidnaped Shigeru Miyamoto that was funny but this comic is disturbing.

As the art i said it was crude but thats not a big deal I used as an example collegue roomates from hell as a reference because it does not have a super ober art but in the writing Maritza Campos its very good

PEOPLE, STOP DOING THIS.

Do not comment on other people's reviews. I am going to make this a rule soon because it keeps happening. SHUT UP AND REVIEW COMICS.

Tater Salad, you need to shut up most of all. There is no concievable reason why you would come into a review thread and do nothing but plug your own comic. Do NOT post unless you're contributing to the discussion, specifically, by writing an actual review.

If there is something that needs to be said about people's reviews, I will say it. Okay?

Okay.

Okay, so it doesn't look like you have a good grasp of drawing at all. The characters are sketchy and the lettering is akwardly placed in there. However I did find many of the punch lines funny. The characters are much too flat though. The punch lines are good...not good enough to make me laugh or smile but good enough to get me to read the next strip while continuing the story line...

Something that would really help what you're doing here is to try and create your characters through a sort of 'formula'. As in keep them looking consistant. Dilbert doesn't have good art, but the art is clean and consistant which is what this comic needs.

Basically this comic would be a lot better if the lines were clean black, with consistant looking characters. As it is, it's not terrible but it is in dire need of improvement.

Art: The art isn't great, it's not terrible, but not great. Mostly you need to work on the bodies, because they are probably the most lacking. I don't know what your intention is artistically with this, and usually when it comes to humorous comics I tend to let my critical eye of art slack a little, since the art isn't quite as important as the jokes.
Only thing I really didn't like about the art was Berlin. The whole chinese weird hairdo thing was more creepy than funny for me and it sort of made the jokes about his dating life less effective because you too easily understand why the things happen to him. I'd throw things at someone who looked like that too.

Story: There isn't really a story. The short archs aren't too bad, but really there isn't a straight forward story to speak of.

Writing: This is the most important aspect of a humorous comic for me, and you do need to really work on it. You've got this sort of "cute humor" mixed with "adult themes" going on, which in some cases works, but here it doesn't. It's like having a dirty joke on one of those popsicle sticks that kids love. There were a few times that I semi-grinned, but for the most part the humor was lacking. I mentioned already that I didn't find all the dating themes for Berlin to be funny.

Example of not funny: http://www.drunkduck.com/No_Horse_Town/index.php?p=19401

The joke here would have been a lot funnier if you had left out the bit at the end where Berlin talks. You could have ended the joke better with a different ending, but the 'punchline' actually killed the joke here for me.

Your comic just needs to work on the humor a lot. It's not terrible like a lot of sprite comics that I've read, and now regret ever wasting the time doing so, but it lacks because it just isn't strong enough. So work on that.

Overall: Not great, but not dismal either. It needs a lot of work.
