Keep working on the artwork. I can see it's getting better throughout the comic. Also, find a ruler. Draw some lines. Write your dialogue on the lines. Erase the lines. Presto, professional-looking lettering.

Don't be afraid to use a dictionary. There are great ones on the innerweb.

Some of the gags were pretty good, actually. I smiled a few times (and that's a compliment because right now I've got a headache and I rarely smile with searing head pain).

Keep chugging away. That's the *only* way to better and better and better and, well, you get the idea.

EDIT: Just noticed this is my 13th post. That would be so unlucky if I believed in that crap.

Oy, okay this comic reeks (reeks I says!) of amaturism. First page doesn't exactly create a good mindset for how the comic is going to go. It's a penciled comic, with no gutter between panels, and the anatomy is...not. It's just not there. I can tell the difference between the characters though. That's...a plus.

A flying monkey? Okay.

I can read the words. Your handwriting isn't terrible, so it's a legible comic.

Okay, overall this comic is readable. The jokes are sometimes on target, but seriously the art is...the art is just bad. You need to start using a ruler, get some books, maybe concentrate on a more visually appealing style. Vary your line widths a little. That can make things look cool. And color. You've started using color but you need to make the color have different tones. You need lights and darks.

You're a huge amature, but you'll improve.

Hmmm.

I agree that the art isn't very good. It's improving, which is the important thing, but it's just not a professional looking product just yet. I don't mean this as a BAD bad thing; I have work of my own from years ago that was just as bad. Like me, all you need is time, practice, and maybe references to practice off of. I've also seen worse comics than this in terms of art.
The jokes are funny. At the very least, I've laughed at a few pages. The writing is okay, but it's not as gripping as it could be. The story isn't as fully formed, at least not yet, and the characters are a little two dimensional in personality. Again, these are things that improve with time and practice.
I'm not saying this from the standpoint of a polished professional. One look at my page will tell you THAT much. You have a good basis here, and it WILL get better. Two years ago, I wasn't much better than you are now. You have a good foundation for a plot to grow from.

Overall, it's not a bad comic. It just needs time.

I'd personally much rather see at least one episode colored in traditional medium rather than on the computer, just so I can see the two and compare which I like better, because it's a comic that looks like it should be colored with colored pencils since it was drawn by hand and not by a mouse. But maybe that's just me.

I see that some people have complained about the plot being thin, but since it's a comic strip, there's really not much need for consistancy above a mini-plot or two, so I personally wouldn't complain about the plots.

I get laughs out of this comic, but I'm not sure what days it updates. Do you have a solid schedule, or is it more or less spaztic? I'm confused, but that might be my fault.

You know about the art, and they've said things, so I won't go there. But I'll say this: I've seen art much MUCH worse. Your writing makes up for it. I mean, we can see what's going on, who's doing what, and who's who, which is a plus.

Overall it's a good, average webcomic. It's readable, comedic, and understandable. Its art and jokes are above sprite comics by a landslide, but it's no sydicated X-men or Spiderman. The kind of thing webcomics were made for: A good laugh from a fellow person.

But my opinion's probably very biased because I've been reading your comic since DD BC and likewise, so feel free to blow off the things I say and take other peoples' opinions further to heart if you'd like.

Thanks for the advice so far. I've been reading my archives, and frankly, I'm not that impressed either. Right now I'm kinda in that gawky adolescent stage in my comic. There will be plots later, and I'm going to try to take your art advice to heart, although what my mind says and what my hand draws aren't always one and the same. I can't wait to see if anyone else has an opinion I can try to work with.

It never is. I mean, I have all these ideas for stuff that I think I can draw, but then it never turns out quite the way I want it to. And as the artist gets better they get more ideas about what they can draw, meaning that you'll never catch up with your brain. I'm still waiting for a device that can transcribe thoughts onto paper so then it won't be about motor skills but instead story.

Maybe you're some sort of artistic genius.

i gess its time for me to toss my 2cents in

ART:

first off i believe anything hand drawn is atomaticly better than sprites comics but saying that the art could help from alittle fine tuning ( an hour in photoshop can make a worlds difference) besides that your art will improve with practice.

***

WRITTING:

this is basically a joke a day comic and the writing fits, its funny and simple not that simple is bad but i feel another dimesion could be added to the charactors and world making the comic richer.

****

finnaly like most people said this comic has potenial and can become something greater just keep at it.

Hmmm. Well, you have already improved your art pretty significantly and I think you know how to improve it more. All it takes now is time.

The writing actually surprised me. Usually with art less developed, like yours, the writing will end up being just awful. Yours is actually pretty good. I think it's another case of improving over time.

One thing I was really pleased with at the beginning was your lack of typos and errors in spelling. However, when you switched to handwritten, your spelling went to crap. Grammar is good throughout, though, so yay!

One thing that really bugs me, I must admit, is Amy's hair. It kinda looks like her hairline starts halfway across her head and she's covering up her ginormous forehead with her bangs. I would strongly recommend starting her bangs a lot lower.

Ok, just finished reading and managed to poke myself in the eye whilst doing so, so here goes...

The art is... basic. Moving into colour is good in a way, but I've found that scanning and using fill colour tool in MS Paint (if that's what your using, I have no idea) isn't very good. Sill, simplicity is cool if there's good writing and the writing manages to draw the eye away from the drawings. The little posters and such at the side are very good, they made me laugh quite a lot.

Also, I think you should go back to typed text. It looks a lot better.

Overall rating: 8/10

Because, Tater, Eggbert is the MODERATOR, as in the one RUNNING the review threads, and there's actually an order to this- the owner signed up in the sign-up thread, and the moderator posts the comic when the comic is up! YAY!

Art: 7/10 Pretty bad, but not totally awful, I suppose I have low standards. It's improving and i can make tell which character is which, something i can't quite do with other comics. You could improve it by getting a tablet or something, or just going over the lines with the mouse on the computer. Filling on MSpaint is a big no no.

Writing: 8.4/10 I smile at most of them and when I don't I understand the joke and find it funny. I can't really offer any advice for this, I find it all good.
The look of the writing is kinda scruffy but readable.

All in all this comic gets a

8.9/10
