I just read this today...wasn't sure I was going to get into it but found that my sides hurt by the end.

Art: Consistent clear and easy to follow. Characters are readily defined by both the art and the way the charcters speak and act. Awesome job.

Storyline: Clearly defined story arcs that compel the reader to keep looking at the next page. Rivera being deported was probably the funniest thing ever..."dude I'm white!" Ninja turtles, Chuck Norris and a multitude of other hilarious cameoes make this an awesome ride through a very vivid imagination. the current time travel arc to get rid of Paris Hilton and all the blunders and their affects on the future...a must read. That hook could be dangerous!

Format: Nothing really to say yay or nay about it, it didn't detract from the storyline...the pages were easy to read. I really didn't notice any format problems myself. Didn't get lost...or confused. So good job!

Nice engaging comic. I really enjoyed it!

Review of Le Farce

Art: It was clear, it was nice to look at, and, besides the lack of color, I can't find anything to fault with it. lefarce does a good job, drawing..........Le Farce.

Story: Random, fun, and hilarious. From Chuck Norris attempting to assassinate the characters, to Dice being deported, and surprise ending to the last comic in volume 1 (WHY DO YOU MAKE ME DO THESE THINGs, FATHER?), it kept me and my friends in stitches throughout. Very nice. A little racy at times (The Black Power arc, Dance Dance Revelations), but, anyone with a little backbone should find it hard to be offended.

Characters: Well, this is where Le Farce loses a bit of slack. Originally, Dice and EJ's personal backstories have taken a second stage to the story's development. This has been rememdied somewhat, but, mostly for Dice. I'd love to EJ fleshed out a bit more, but otherwise, nothing is wrong here.

Filler Factor/Update Schedule: Very, very little of it. The only filler that can be found in the archives is between Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 (which is understandable), and a filler page in the Black Power arc that lefarce justified very well. The author is very faithful to the update schedule, and, rarely deviates.

Overall: Very good comic, and, should be read by all who will not be offended. Good stuff.
5 out of 6 Space Marines Agree, Impulse 101 is, "the shit".

The 6th one was thrown in the brig for "re-education."

Le farce has been one on my top favorites for a while now though i dont leave comments and all so whats up with this comic, lets see..

One of the first things that got me hooked was the strong facial expressions of characters, you can actually feel the angst radiating from the monitor, although its mostly angst and sarcasm, its the general theme of the comic so i guess on that note im fine with that. Having an emo in the story was pure genius, the depressant balances the general emotional atmosphere of the comic,i liked that part best, though i wish it couldve been longer though.

Next is the way characters are drawn, it deviates from the "stiff people drawn in a void format comic" you can actually imagine them moving and the camera angles used for some scenes dont leave the pages boring.

For the story arcs, i have yet to find a comic that features such pointless story arcs
that keep you smirking on every page, unpredictability is top notch, you'd actually look forward to what the author would come up next.

For the writing, its not for the easily offended ones, some jokes just border on being plain mean and utterly below the belt, but if your system could digest it, theres a lot of underlying humor and entertainment in there.

Le Farce is the story of Dice and EJ who both dropped out of college. Between here and now, the stuff they get involved with will pit them against Chuck Norris's evil company. Aside the simplistic story, Le Farce is one of the better written and drawn comics on DrunkDuck that has the uncanny ability to draw the reader with it's witty references to pop culture and excellent character development.

The Story: Le Farce is little on story and high on humor. The comic builds around Dice, EJ, and their adventures which get the attention of the villain in the comic, Chuck Norris. As I've said before Le Farce is little in the story which means that one can easily jump into the comic and have a good understanding of what is going on. In the earlier comics, each page stood alone. The reader could read it and be dragged in, not to worry to much about what's happening. Latter comics are much more story oriented. The reader needs to read back a few pages just to figure out what is happening. Sometimes this is good, sometimes this is bad. For example, "Rush Hour 2" continues from the previous page and is pretty unfunny compared to the other comics. While "Danger! High Voltage!" is in the same style as "Rush Hour" (four panel, continues from previous page) and is pretty damn funny. It all has to do with the story and how it's presented along with continuity. Finding the balance is the hard part which was not a factor in the previous volume due to all the pages being full-sized while Vol 2 is mixed in sizes.

Characters: Dice is a lovable asshole, a real wise guy. EJ is the calm voice, the #2 to the Dr. Evil. An unbalance seen in Le Farce is how the comic usually focuses more on Dice than on EJ. Most of the jokes in Le Farce rely on Dice using EJ as an afterthought. Dice is a well developed character while EJ, well...he's just there. The back story of Dice was fleshed out in the first volume to the point that we know he has a family and has slept with the Burger King. EJ is a pure mystery, not much is known about him. Maybe a bit of balance between both characters would be good.

Art: Nevertheless, Dice and EJ are beautifully drawn. The motion is fluid and not stiff. Which is something that plagues most comics. The expressions are fantastic and give the reader a well example of what they are feeling, what they are doing. The comic moves at a frantic speed and the characters are drawn well enough to keep up. The art is always top-notch. The presentation of this comic is a little varied but only keeps on improving. The earlier comics were more experimental in how they were put together and have some spelling mistakes while the latter ones are improved by a lot due to lefarce learning how to use Photoshop. The comic is drawn with or without backgrounds. Some comic are better with backgrounds, some are better without. The balance is good, except that some pages do edge on the plain side because of all the white space. Adding some tones or shading would fix that little blank space problem.

Humor: "Damn I married an ugly bitch" is what the blind man said after Jesus cured his blindness and he looked at his wife. The humor in Le Farce is random at best with a little pop culture sample. With good comic timing, Le Farce manages to deliver jokes in both written and shown terms. The humor either wins or fails (mostly wins). Some of the funnier comics had to do with well observed analysis of pop culture like that 'waking up with the king' ad campaign that Burger King had, others are just obscure cutaways that are damn funny (like Jeffy the Clown.) On average, about 87% percent of the humor in Le Farce succeeds in providing a pure moment of "LOL".

Le Farce is the kind of comic that the reader has to re-read over and over to see all the things that flew over the reader's head. There are many small details hidden in the comic that go unnoticed and provide a small chuckle when found.

Other: Vol 2 is like the Metal Gear Solid 2, Volume 1 is the Metal Gear Solid. The original is the best, the second is more of the same Le Farce that we know and love except something feels different. Vol 2 seems to want to make reference to as much things as it can coming off a bit unnatural and forced. Unlike Vol 2, Vol 1 had references that flowed as smoothly as water. Something about this new chapter feels a bit departed from the previous Volume. Could it be the focus on more story? I would think so.

Overall Le Farce is a great comic that has a solid foundation unlike 80% percent of comics out there with a pretty exterior and bland interior that for some reason are popular. With a great characters and great writing, Le Farce is an excellent webcomic that deserves a read.

Le Farce is an epic webcomic about manliness. The origins of it were that its creator found two stone tablets on a trip to mars, and was given the skills needed to craft the webcomic.

Art: Its all perfect ten. If they're not fighting crime or smoking weed, hot chicks are everywhere. Clean lines, perfect imitation of cartoons for parodies, and the layout is very readable.

Story: OH YEAH DROPPING LOADS! What a great story. To describe it, would be to take away its powers. The story is borderline epic, with the occasional trips into awesome.

Site design: Very nice layout, with its own forum and a home site. Very nice.

5/5
