Once again I'll start. Well let me say I love this comic. This is kinda biased then. I've been a fan of it for a long time just because of the format. It's like when sprite comics first started out; they were bold! New! Inventive! Using video game character...in a comic? Woah! That's really cool! But then everyone started doing it and the jokes got less and less...good.
Well this is kinda what this comic is, as in it's original, like back with the first sprite comic came about. It's very iconic, using different colored polygon tiles for the characters. No backgrounds. Now normally I would mind something like this, but it works here. These polygons are MEANT to be in a white void, because that way anything can happen!
I really like all the inventive little storylines that this comic goes into. For example it has the 'plot story', which is a spoof on soap operas. It also has communists, which is a running gag, which spirals into biased media and nonsensical political campaign ads. All in all a lot of the humor is based on these little polygon tiles trying to live the life of a human, with human problems, and the hilarity that ensues from that. But there's also a bunch of one-strip jokes and the rivalry between yellow pentagon and green triangle.
Anyways, I really want to see more of this comic. It's good stuff.
Oh, and I should add that it's really not as easy as it seems. I made a guest strip for this comic, and it didn't look anything as professional (if you can call this comic professional) as Lucas'. He's damn good with vector art.

Art: Ehh....nice polygons! Yeah, anyway the setup is nice and clean too. I'd like to know about the white void they are in...that has a clock.
Writing: The jokes are actually pretty good. More hits than misses. I think I was kept more entertained by this gag comic than most others I've tried reading. Not "haha" funny but it kept me smiling and sometimes snickering.
Overall: Just keep it up! You is doing good!
Short review...but that's all I got. ^^; Not sure if you should count this one...

What can I say about Knock on Wood? There`s pretty much nothing wrong with it. It like one of those rare comics, underneath the whole amounts of sprite, manga and game comics. That tries to do something different, to tell you the truth. I never seen a comic using only polygons. Truly original. Okay, well. I`ve seen some MS Paint comics, but ugh..
The art. Although no background, works. Except for the ticking clock here or there, and that hole. That pretty much it. As where some comics would benefit with backgrounds, Knock on Wood needs none. Simple gets the job done. Ironically (I like saying that.)
The writing, is like said twice above. Hit or miss. To be more specific. 85% of the time I spent reading this comic I laughed. Yeah. The joke are one of a kind, something that almost needs not to rely on some gimmick, or pop cultrue. Where the characters are funny enough. The characters, are well balanced. You kinda feel a connection to them, And you pretty much laugh at them.
There some truly original things going on here. Like that comic, where you reload and you get a new one, with different words. That`s pure genius. This kinda reminds me of the original Consoles comic that was on DrunkDuck a long time ago. Before the author gave up on it.
I couldn`t find anything wrong with this comic. Hell, this pretty much isn`t a review, more like praise.
Keep on doing your thing. Knock on Wood rocks

I wanted to hate this comic, I really really did. But it was just too great. Too funny. Too gut-busting. I couldn't do it.
I'd be jealous, but you like my comic too. We're even! Hah! Don't count on being so lucky next time...
...
What does that even mean?
Anyway, seriously, good job bro.

Well, my logs tell me over 745 unique people this month! But seriously, the reason I do my comic is because it's what I like to do. I'll admit, it's easier than doing hand-drawn comics, but it's a lot harder than the "quick cheap and easy" you make it out to be!

Knock on Wood proves that if you have good writing, iconic art can easily compliment it. I may spend a whole lot of time on my comics and get less hits, but I don't really mind because I think overall it's about effort and lukee has pur a whole lot of effort into his comics.
