I actually tried to read a few pages but i failed miserably.
What i CAN say from what i i DID read is that the dialogue and story seems to be above avarage when it comes to sprite comics. It doesn't have Sonic or Megaman and as far as i've seen there isn't any "LOL" or "that is gay" dialogue.
Artwise it works but, and it's here that i stopped reading, on some panels i CAN NOT SEE WHAT IS GOING ON!
Zooming the sprites 500% to gain a closeup doesn't work. It's just a mess. After a few pages of pixel soup i turned off.

ummm. this is basically just the game in comic format.
did you just play the game to take those screenshots to use as an comic? sure seems like it.....
the humor is pretty good, but otherwise the rest is just bleh.
3/10.

Appearance: Overall, pretty good. They seem lifted straight out of the game, but that ensures that there are consistent backgrounds. I think the 'extreme close-up' is a pretty bad idea with a sprite comic. It means I have to lean WAY back in my chair to get what the heck is going on. Sprite facial expressions just don't read no matter how close you get.
Text: I need bubbles. With the caption style, I just end up reading the caption bubbles and ignoring the pictures. Also, having never played FF3, I don't know who is saying what, even with the scripted style (i.e.: Beavis: Fire! Butthead: Yeah, it rules.)
Writing: I accept that it may be funny. It just seemed like a series of inside jokes about FF3 that I didn't get. That's fine. I'm just not the target audience, and the humor isn't broad enough to be universally funny. One thing I will say: Moogles on a killing spree? That, I like.

Artwork: They look like screenshots from the video game. So I can't say anything about that.
Outline: It's okay. I like how organized it is. Also, the grammar is correct, and I think that's awesome. Some sprite comics are only annoying because of the grammar. So good job with that.
Humor: I don't know if it's my kind of humor, because I didn't laugh.
Well... overall, it's not bad.

Okae, maybe I'm missing the point of sprite comics completely- but I feel like all this comic is is merely a recount of the game with different words and an attempt at more humor... humor which I can't say I share.
I feel like the freedom of sprite comics is that you can forget about art and focus on story and characterization and plot- whereas you're really not. You're just trying to be funny.
Maybe I'm wrong... but this is how I feel.

Alright...
Artwise: For a pixel comic. You can at least ley out the sprites so it looks like they're supposed to be there... Rather then in paint.
Theme: Alright.. I have nothing against fanart comics (Dispite alot of Drunk Duckers having a love of bashing them). My own comic is fanart. But I suggest if you're rewriting the story. Draw it up yourself. Your skills will get better drastically if you push yourself in such away. Fancomic rules: Either draw it yourself in your own style to give it your own fealing or if you must use sprites... write a new story like Nuklear Power.
Twenty points if you write your own story and use your own art in a fanart comic.
The humor was poor if not non existant. I see efforts to make cracks but they arent there. Really if you want humor. Just get a few friends together and have a conversation on themes. Ideas will come as you go.
I give this comic a 4/10
You're not lazy you just need to become less affraid of being creative. Push yourself further and things will begin to unfold.
There is two sides of our brain. Logical and Creative. You're letting the logical side kick in too much. You put it all together and think... Eh this is enough. Dont worry if you're not sure people will find your really stupid joke funny or not. It's better then the joke being so subtle that people get bored.

I'm a tad bit biased against sprite comics, but I'll try to do this fairly.
Artwork: As it's a sprite comic, I can't say too much here.At least how the sprites are arranged, it makes sense. There's no forced positioning, and the few occasions where you add your own effects(mostly blood, I've noticed), they actually look somewhat(not entirely) natural to the sprite world. (For example, when the Old Man was lying dying in his house while Locke visited him, the injury actually looked like an injury.)
Story:It looks like a direct copy from the game, except with worse dialogue and jokes that weren't really funny at all. I can't say anything positive about the story.
Writing: Again, the dialogue is pretty bad and the jokes are half-jokes that I can't really laugh at. As someone who's played this game, it's not funny to me,familiar with the game, and I can't see it as being funny to people who AREN'T familiar with the game.
Overall: It's not as BAD as other sprite comics out there, and just by trying something with FF3/6, that's already a plus. Since the writing/dialogue/story isn't very good/original, though, and there's no original artwork(that I saw, I quit around page 18), I'd have to give this comic a 2/10.

I personally did not play the game, but this comic seems good enough. At least it was written well more than half of the time. The cursing was kinda a pointless throw in, such a thing shouldn't be used in comics that often, unless the comic is REALLY good... like VGcats cood.
My biggest gripe, as seems to go for all the reviews, is the size of the sprites. It's far too small most of the time, upsizing by 200% always helps to make sprite comics look better.
As a sprite comic, I'll use a seperate rating system than I do with hand-drawn.
SPRITING: 4/10
HUMOR: 7/10
PLOT: 5/10
OVERALL (average): 5.3

Hey, not bad. But this is difficult to fairly assess. So...breakitdown!
Art: It's a sprite comic, sure. But I'm really glad you went through all of the effort to make it seem like the actual game, only with different dialogue. It's for this reason that I can't really say the art is great (as in original). But, it's far better than just having a blue and green background with a horizon line. I'm glad you added photoshop effects, but I miss the blue text boxes. The text bubbles are cheesy, and you sometimes have trouble lining up the text in them. The blue boxes were better because they were almost disarming to one who is familiar with the game. I thought it would be dialogue like in the game, but surprise! There were all kinds of perversions to the text. I dug that.
I also dug your maneuvering of the sprites. The positioning of them and moving them around was pretty good. Yet, the MSPaint effects early on were kind of cheesy. I hope this gets better with your Photoshopping.
Plot: I'd say not applicable in this case, or "N/A" as some say. You've taken the story almost directly from the game, but exaggerated the characteristics of each character. Sometimes it's funny and makes for some good jokes, but other times it can be quite annoying. More in the next section. You don't explain the plot in the game itself as well as you could, such as with the Espers and what-have-you. But otherwise, as long as you follow the game, it's pretty hard to go wrong here.
Humor: Not bad. There were some pretty good moments. But between those moments there are a lot of bland stereotypes and hyperboles. You do manage to make it a completely intelligible sprite comic, there being some exceptions, such as when "Bevis and Butthead" were thrown in for some reason. But as long as you avoid the cliched "1337" humor, I think you're doing just fine. You tend to keep the jokes away from focusing on the game itself, which is good for those who haven't yet played it. Also, my recommendation is to avoid making violence the punchline, which seems to be a common occurence. (But, despite what I say, this was funny.)
Overall: Definitely an above-average sprite comic. I'd prefer this to many copy-n-paste comics on the Duck, seeing as how you've got your stuff organized. Keep the solid writing/humor going. I'm a little worried about your stereotypes, however, and I'm actually afraid to see how some of the later characters end up (Realm, Umaro, and we've already seen how you've treated Mog). So, keep at 'em, and I'm sure the comic will only get better with time.
I'm not giving some arbitrary number. Though I will say that some of these other reviews are embarrassingly harsh. I couldn't imagine giving you anything less than a 50%. Again, keep working on it, and I'm sure it'll get better.
Happy comicking!

I read it and its quite different from FF3 which i have beat five times. I enjoyed the comic!
I don't care if a comic is a digital art comic, traditional art or sprite. If the story is good that is good enough for me. I rate things from one to 100. and explain each rating:
Artistic Quality: 9/20
The sprites were mostly from the game itself. There was a little customization with the sprites and the scenery. However the sprites were well arranged and the story ran smoothly enough because of this
Story: 10/20
the story was a more humorous take on the game. and to be frank, unless you played the game the average reader would have a hard time appreciating this. but at least it doesn't lack originality which is something I do Care allot about.
Awe Factor: 7/20
This is something I care allot about in a comic. this is what makes a reader want to come back and see more of the comic. namely Me. I would say that if I were to come back to this comic I would probably get nothing more out of it.
Readability:16/20
The Style of conveying the story to the reader changed. It was blue text boxes first that mimicked the game play of FF3 which I thought was a nice touch and was totally fine with. it changed to pretty conventional speech bubbles later. although the speech bubbles were well placed I guess for some reason or another the Creator thought he needed a better format and this is what he went with. this is totally fine with me but that can be good or bad for the continuity of the story which I might add was very easy to keep up with.
Page layout:19/20
The overall page layout was very well done. and the spriter made sure to keep things nice and simple panel to panel.
This is my review of this comic the overall score of the comic is 61/100
this is also my first Review of a comic on DD
