Hmm, somewhat concerned by the fact that this comic hasn't been updated in six months or so... Still, on with the review, I guess, or we'll never clear this bloody review backlog!

The first thing that I noticed was how consistant the humour and art is in this comic. It's not the funniest thing I've ever read, nor does it have the most eye-catching artwork, but it doesn't fall into that problem many comics of that kind of 'slice of life/sit-com humour' have of becoming sentimental or starting to rely on shock revelations or new characters rather than sticking to humour. This is always a humour-based comic and sticks to it's concept of young people who hang out in a coffee bar making irreverent jokes about everything. The artwork is clean and bright, drawn in a cartoon style that suits the tone. Probably my favourite thing was how the writer seems to participate in the world of his comic without ever stealing the spotlight or imposing too much on the characters. Also, the humour doesn't pull punches, but doesn't go too far into the realms of bad taste.
For a complaint, the size of the pages I find a little irritating. Reading landscape style and having to side scroll is okay, but then when there's another row of panels underneath, it gives us...double scroll bar action...not my favourite thing. It makes reading comics just that tiny bit more awkward. The amount of detail in the panels isn't huge, so they could probably stand to be about 70% smaller in many cases, getting rid of the problem.
Obviously, another thing is the fact it hasn't uploaded in aaaages. I'm not sure if it's even still going.

Oh backlog, we need to get rid of you.

First thing, I have to agree with Darth Mongoose on the "double scrolling action."
It's a pain, and should be avoided when possible.

The art:
is generally okay. It's unique and you can tell what's what. It's nothing special, but it has it's own style and with a humor comic like this it really isn't necessary to have amazing art. In general, I think it works well.

The humor/writing:
is also okay. It's not fantastic, but it's not terrible either.
A few strips made me smile(especially the later ones), a few I didn't know the references, so I can't judge, and a few fell rather flat. I think improvements could be made, but I'm not very good at writing humor comics myself, so I wouldn't know how to advise the author (...if he's even writing it anymore).

Other:
I was rather put off by some of the author's comments, especially within the first 20 pages. A lot of them said things along the lines of "I don't know why I'm doing this," and "this is terrible." It's one thing to say that you aren't particularly fond of a specific page, or maybe question whether you should keep writing your comic. A lot of us have those moments. When you feel compelled to tell your readers that you don't know why you're writing it at all, though, is a bit different. It tells me that you really don't want to be doing it at all and that I probably shouldn't bother reading it. I'm thinking that maybe it was a good thing for the author that he stopped updating, if that's really how he felt.

Okay, I'll mirror the sidescrolling thing. I'm way too lazy for all that effort in my comic-reading. ;)

Art is... appealing. Simple, cartoony. It fits the style of the comic well, and you pretty much know what you're going to get - a light, humourous comic

It was a little offputting that the author had stopped updating/seemed to have very little faith in their comic, but I suppose that's what reviews are for, if the author is still around to read it. to pick up on strong/weak points. :)

I enjoyed the writing. No real laugh-out-loud moments for me, but I don't have those very often anyway.

An interesting, easy read without the depth or hilarious jokes to make it captivating, I thought.

/Agree. The scrolling needs to be fixed big time. Making the pages smaller would help in this.

Artwork

Not the best, but it works. Seeing as the comic doesn't really have the tone of someone that's really interested in it, fantastic art isn't really needed.

Plot/Story

Unless i'm mistaken, this is meant to be a comedy strip comic. It would be my suggestion for the artist to switch to a more story based comic. The humor isn't really hitting like it should, but there's a colorful collection of characters in place; so a switch shouldn't be hard.

In General

The artist should show more pride in his work. Strips are uploaded with a minimal 2 lines of text from the creator. Most of the text attempts to explain the strip, or characters within. However, there are alot of comments (from the creator) that ride along the lines of "why am i even doing this" ,or worse, they're blank altogether. This to me shows a lack of interest in his own work (which might explain the lack of updates as of late). If you don't respect your stuff, you can't really expect others to.

Overall (4/10)
