Why is a Smack Jeeves comic getting reviewed on Drunk Duck?
Good question.
Shouldn't the comics we review have at least some connection to the Drunk Duck site?
I think so at least.

eh. this comic isn't really that good at all...
it's done in paint, and so it's all mainly stick figures.
it seems to have an story that makes fun of superheroes and villians, but it's overdone and seemed hopped up on loads of sugar..
this is the sort of thing that would be written by somebody who's had way too much caffenine, and thinks random stuff is funny.

I'd agree. Stick figures and random jokes do not a comic make. However the speech bubbles are cleanly done and I like the font. That's about all I have to say on this comic.

I hope we don't have to be affiliated with Drunk Duck. I don't even know how to get affiliated with Drunk Duck.
I'm just this guy, you know?
Anyhow, a review:
This is a difficult strip to give a meaningful review of. The art isn't very good, but I don't think it's supposed to be. It doesn't improve much visually, but again, I don't think that's a big goal for this creator.
I should say that stick-figure art does not have to be entirely flat, though. Matt Feazel's Amazing Cynicalman is a good example of how artwork can be minimalistic, but interesting and attractive. This strip isn't fun to look at, and that's a problem.
Also, it should be noted that there's already a character called God Man extant in Ruben Bolling's Tom the Dancing Bug . Bolling is really good at his job, so that's hard to compete with.
The humor here is intentionally juvenile, which is not automatically a problem. It's not my cup of java, but that's forgiveable. More important than the subject matter, the delivery needs work. There's a tendency to run jokes into the ground.
The dialogue is sometimes hard to follow, as word balloons can appear above, below, or within panels. Sometimes, there are so many words, it's hard to tell who said them and when.
That's all I got.

Yeah, that's probably a good idea. In any case, I'm moving on with this.

Alright, well thanks anyone for the one review that I did actually get.
My comic actually used to be on DD, but I got tired of DD crashing all the time, so I moved it after that big crash where they lost everything (which was when they also said DD wasn't coming back). I've had the intention of moving it back to DD but have decided to wait it out on purpose to make sure that there won't be any major crashes like that in the same frequency that were before (granted I was not on DD for terribly long, maybe 6 months, but I experienced at leat 15 server crashes, and the one big one where everything was lost in that time).
That and DD has a far better critique system than SJ does. People are more thorough, serious, and actually tend to give better advice and information in their critiques. When I put it on the list it was with the intention to be given honest opinions. SJ users tend to sugar coat things and make you feel good about your work rather than give you useful criticism.
Anyway, thanks for the critique victor_von. Appreciate the imput.
