Okay, well it's a sprite comic. Involving Mario and Luigi. I didn't...hate it, but overall I didn't like it very much. The complicated sprites (16 bit instead of the usual 8 bits) are hard to find on the colorful background when there's no in-game animation going on.
Overall this comic is too much of a plot comic, which is not done well enough to truley be...entertaining. I mean, c'mon, these gags are hardly funny at all! The Yoshi trying to eat the mushroom was sorta good, but all the other stuff...
The way you do text improves as it goes along, but was really annoying in the begining.
I don't have much to say really. Overall I didn't enjoy this comic much. Better than some sprite comics, but still nowhere near good as some of my favorites sprite comics such as Zelda Comic or 8-Bit Theatre.

Here`s a sprite comic, and since I give everything a chance. I`ll give Bowser`s Plan B a try.
Bowser`s Plan B by Commander_Chaos
Now this comic graphically looks good. Looks like the author puts a bit of effort into the placement of characters and enviroments. Sadly the panelling sometimes isn`t all that well. +le cough+ Look at that first panel and all the white space. Something that disturbed me in the begining is the speech bubbles, er. the boxes where the words lie on. Which have no outline, sometimes bending into the background. Placement is all good in a comic, which shows in later comics where everything flows a bit better. Where the speech boxes are outlined too.
Now this is a more plot driven comic, with a little comedy on the side. Or err. The later parts of it. While some of it fails, some of it strives. Though majority of it fails. I had a tough time understanding what was going due to either a. the placement of panels, or b. the writting (although that seems to improve over the course of he comic). Which of course, made the plot is a bit confusing to me. Something to tell? get rid of the MegaMan sprites. For the love of God. Nothing involving that blue little bastard will ever be funny (Maybe that`s just me). Unless you try something in a different direction. Like him being Albert Einstein smart. That`d be shocking.
There some potential here, botched down by it`s flaws. Much like the first The Getaway the flaws prevent it from being good. While still readable. Keep trying, there`s potential here.

M'kay...I'll try my hand at a review.
Good timing too because the current review is a sprite comic, so (being a sprite comic author meself) it'll be a bit easier for me to think of something to say.
As far as the spriting goes, nothing's resized, but that doesn't matter to me much because I don't resize either. I would say it'd be a bit easier to look at if it didn't show ALL of Mario's house in those respective comics.
And probably the biggest problem I found was a LOT of white space.
Thankfully, this comic is funny as heck. Probably one of my favorite jokes is the jokes about the "Blue Pill" (God, I laughed my head off at that point)
But the mixture of characters and wacky humor makes this a good comic in my opinion (but I make jokes about bacon...who'd listen to me? =P)
Good job Commander Chaos. ::gives a thumbs up::

Oh, wow, there's, uh.
There's not a single thing in this comic that is good.
The writing is horrible, the timing is constantly off, the jokes are never funny, the plot is typical sprite comic fare and the amazing lazy not resizing of anything is ugly beyond reason.
The writing! ARG. The mario brother's accents are terrible to read, as is Kamek's. It doesn't help that the word bubbles are often arranged in a way that make the impossible to read.
Seriously, this is one of the worst sprite comics I've read. Would is really be that hard to crop the ripped backgrounds into something panel sized? Geeze!
Sorry, this is really, really bad.

I'm considering going through my archive in the summer and bringing the whole comic up to scratch. Good or bad idea?
I like the idea. Almost all the old comics look bad, though most likely all of our first comics looked bad too. The recent comics are pretty good, but they seem to get random at times, and sometimes can confuse you about what's going on in the comic. It's a good idea though.

It's like you suddenly understand photoshop. The visuals are much improved.
HOWEVER.
Do not use this thread as a place to tell use you've done something to your comic. We have the "Look What I Did" forum for that.
If you want another review you have to get at the end of the line and wait again. What you're doing now isn't fair to those waiting their turn.
Thank you for your time.
