BffSatan
Bart has Milhouse, House has Wilson, Elwood has Harvey, Alex has Satan. BffSatan is a comic about these two best friends and the silly things they get up to going about life, they hang out with Jesus, they play video games, they invent sports and they goof around.

BFF Satan is a very simple comic, pretty much a gag strip, its something to read if you just want a laugh for the day!
Since it is the most important part of the comic, I will talk about the humor first! It is certainly not the kind of humor that would be for everyone... But, at the same time, I know a lot of people who would thoroughly enjoy this and find it laugh out loud funny. The comic makes a lot of references to the gamer lifestyle (you know, playing video games, messing around, being lazy! :D) Each strip tends to have very sinister conclusions- like someone dying (this is where the humor lies mostly). Sometimes the comic has a very random comedy style as well. As said before, the humor isn't universal, some people would find it childish and annoying, whilst others would find it hilarious. I think if I was 14 I would really enjoy it, and I know people who are much older then that who would find it funny too.
Art wise, this is the thing that lets the comic down. Most of the time, since it is basically a gag strip, the artwork is not thoroughly important. You can tell whats going on clearly enough. But, there are times when the punchline ending lies in how a character is going to react, but fails mildly due to the artist not being able to exaggerate or show expression very well yet. It is obvious though that the artist quite simply is still learning, and in time the artwork will get better and better. Another problem I found was the way the text is sometimes written- hand drawn and squeezed in beside the images! It is not hard to read, but it does stop the flow of the comic and therefore makes it less fun to read.
Overall, this is a simple and entertaining gag comic. Although the artwork needs to be worked on, the comic is still readable- and I think if you have a sinister/random sense of humor, or if you are part of the gaming/internet culture, you will find this to be a funny comic!

BFF Satan is a nonlinear, one shot style comic. There are a few small story arcs, but the gist of the comic is as its title suggests; what life would be like if one had the Dark Prince as a best friend. The result is almost something you would expect to see on the really late circuit of Adult Swim, where established political and religious figures diverge from their typical roles and generally just take pot shots at each other in ultimately self compromising ways. The end result being you'll laugh, just don't think too hard about what you're looking at or you'll start poking holes in it. Go with the flow on this comic and you'll get a good laugh out of it.
While there were many pages that delivered solid, laugh inducing punchlines, a good number of these had some of their thunder stolen with the minimalist art style, as details were few and far between, and character expressions were sparse and indistinguishable. On that same note however, you can see the style improve over time, to include remakes of some of the earlier pages. Still, the comic relies less on exaggerated faceial expressions and instead on its words to let you know how people feel. That's NOT to say that it is poorly drawn, it's just eyes and mouths dont get to cartoonishly wild proportions. There are times when the text itself appears to be sketched, and in many other times it is a very non comical typeset font that makes it less enjoyable to read.
Another note, and I hate to bring this up, is spelling and punctuation. There are a lot of mispelled or in some cases absent words. While I know most imaging programs dont have a spell check, many of the errors appear to be from typing too fast and not bothering to check afterwards. Still, you know what's going on, so it isn't a major detractor.
All in all, BFF Satan is a comic that should be read if you feel like laughing at train wrecks, because the humor revolves around somone, somewhere, suffering. It's a guilty pleasure, but a pleasure nonetheless.
God needed the Devil, the Beatles needed the Rolling Stones, Hakoshen needs me.
I'm the enemy he requires to define him.
Soon or later, he'll bring me back to life again for another epic encounter of shouting about power levels and grimacing.

Thanks for your reviews theorah and hakoshen, I really appreciate it.
The art is somthing I am working on and slowly getting better at.
As for the font I stopped using the hand drawn style a while back, Hakoshen mentioned a font I was using that detracted from the humour, would this be the font I'm using now?
Oh and BTW, Hakoshen, you made me really want to make a comic with a train wreck in it.

Lol can't wait to see it! But as for the font thing no, that was the first font. Y'know, the typewriter like one.

BffSatan is... unique to say the least. One might describe at cluttered and confusing, and I'd describe it that way, too.
The art within the comic has one of the most complex styles I have ever seen. At times, it seems as though it's been drawn by a hyperactive "tween". However, there are moments where the author experiments with the shading and creates the perfect tone for a particular page. Also noticeable is the text; instead of standard bubbles, dialogue is written in a grungy font. Each letter is original in its own right, so the comic creator puts in a lot of effort when creating each page (which is definitely a plus).
As for the plot itself, quick gags usually seem to be the "soup-de-jeur", which is a good thing. In a fast paced world filled with instant coffees and carpooling cycles, if you want to be noticed, you have to make some noise, and this comic definitely makes one (a noise that is). The gags seem to be hit-and-miss, mostly with the former (the hits). At least half the pages should be able to squeeze out a smirk from your face. However, there may be a few pages that may just leave you scratching your head, but if you manage to see through the fog of confusion, the joke should hit you like a 12oz brick.
So yes, it may not be a comic for everyone, but if you like gags and the like, then you may want to look this comic over.
6.5 out of 10
Billy vs. Tree -- The epic struggle of boy versus tree.
Sonic Colores -- It looks like it's going to be a good game because I love how the way it makes me grow.

I don't really get this comic. I mean I understand it's an one a day gag strip but the humour escapes me.
There is no real story per se, just the gag strips that loosely follow Satan, Jesus, the pope, and their roommates.
The art improves from the begining of the strip, but not my favorite art style. It does work for the comic it is about though so no real complaints there.
As for the humour, it eludes me. The strips are quite graphic sometimes but I just don't see what would make them funny. There's a dark sense of humour and every once awhile some political commentary done by the author. None of this eludes me but I still don't find it humourous.
There are also some grammatical mistakes in some of the strips which is just a pet peeve of mine.
Overall if you like dark humoured gag a day strips this is something you should check out, otherwise I might just pass.

Though the humor is extremely hit or miss, I do find some of the strips funny in a very subversive sort of way. It does fall into the trap of randomness, which too many comics seem to do--just because it's out of left field doesn't necessarily mean it's humor.
The art does the job, and that's about it. The strip clearly isn't about the aesthetic so much, as many others tend to be, though it rarely, if ever, fails to convey whatever visual humor the author had in mind.
My suggestion for the creator is to maybe focus on greater story arcs; write out one solid script saturated with humor and to cut it up. Character continuity and a greater emphasis on written jokes may prove to be beneficial for the strip.
