Can this thing be shut off? the animation uses so much memory my system locks up. Please get rid of it. I use IE and Chrome both for DD can't get on with Firefox due to security settings.

This isn't exactly a debate topic... sorry. But to clarify things, the DD Cam is actually a webcam used to show what's happening in the Platinum offices. It hasn't actually been activated in around a year. What you're referring to is probably the video advertising space just below the dead DD Cam. And I'm afraid it can't be shut off. It will probably remain there for as long as somebody things it's effective advertising.
