I know nobody's posted in this thread for a while now, but I have a question about the 2008 awards. I remember Amanda saying a while back in one of the forum posts that Plat would be printing a list of the winners in one of their october issues. Was this something they actually did, and if so, in what comics? I'e been trying to find some for a while now but I've had no luck.

I don't know that we've heard anything from Plat about that yet. But Amanda was the one setting that deal up with them so she's really the only one who knows exactly what was supposed to happen.

It was slated to be published in I Was Kidnapped by Lesbian Pirates from Outer Space along with a couple others I can't recall offhand. Last I heard was in mid-September where they were still planning to go along with it. I can't find a comic shop in town that carries those titles though, so I can't say for sure whether it happened or not =[ I'm guessing not.

I'd ask over on Megan Gedris' forums if she saw such an ad in her comic but... umm... I can't seem to find her forums anymore.

They posted it for sure in Night School, which was supposed to come out in October...until the printer they were with closed their doors thanks to the economic slump, and then Diamond decided to jerk them around. So yes they made good on their word, the book is out now and the list is in it. I wish people weren't so quick to assume Platinum is so bad, everyone we've worked with has bent over backwards for us there despite all the trouble they have to go through.

No prob guys, I'm proud that my first published work is gonna draw some attention to DD and some great comics ^_^ (that is hopefully if people that aren't already members of DD pick it up too...which kinda sucks also considering the comic shop in my own home town won't carry it because it's considered "independent!" Argh!)
