why can't we have serious mature animated shows. I'm not even talking about swearing and killing but at least a much more serious approach for an animated show would be nice. GI Joe would have been much better if people actually died.
Here's my take on it: Because the U.S. is made up of people and history of mostly Christian upbringing & beliefs. When Americans think of "cartoons", they think of stuff for the kiddies, because that's what their Christian parents and their grandparents taught them to think, and they don't want to expose them to violence and bloodshed and boobies, because that's not what "good Christain kids" are exposed to.
...My evil Satanic demon spawn, on the other hand, will be exposed to everything bloody and gory and pornographic as soon as he pops out of my coochy. WOOOOO!!!! lol!
I'm not sure if I should be horrified or very turned on.
