I think there is a direct correlation with mental Illnesses and creativity. I wouldn't consider myself bat shit crazy or anything like that, but I am definitely weird.

Also, the mental illnesses associated with artistic talent, autism, schizophrenia and depression are associated with 'talent' in general, or at least brain power in one way or another. There's room to say that these people are actually 'better' in some capacity but are branded ill because others don't share their view.
I'm sorry,but when I read this kind of thing I get so-o angry. My brother-in-law is a high functioning autistic. He is unable to cook for himself, clean, do laundry, hold down a job, remember to shower, remember to change his clothes (we must remind him). He lives with us and it's tedious and annoying to deal with. He is not better than a normal person... He is sick. Oceanzone is right. Mental illnes is an illness and that woman with the tumor should get the surgery before she dies.
