Hey I'm not sure if any of you have seen this but I think it's pretty awesome. It basically shows comic covers that've been redrawn by other artists:

Some are funny, some are actual improvements others are just strange.

That is like the coolest thing! Some of those are really excellent like you said. And some just make me giggle.

I was surprised who few improvements there were... A lot of the newer alt versions were done in one of a variety of modern popular styles -i.e. not ones the illustrators themselves has developed, so you go from old kitsch to new kitsch.
And that IS weird. o_O

Not in all cases though. Over all it's an interesting experiment.

Neat. I've got a whole bunch of old, cheesy comics that were once my brothers', so I could easily do something like this.

This is one that I think stands out as an improvement: http://coveredblog.blogspot.com/2009/03/john-reddinger-covers-wildcats-4.html basically John Reddinger changed some details like the title placement and I think it really improved the overall design.
