I found out a way to even make an animated picture into a PNG!
When you save your file, save it as Filename.PNG
It'll stay animated and STILL be a PNG. This is handy...no?
It can also be used if you accidentally save your picture file to something that Drunkduck doesn't support, just add a . and the file type on the end.
:D Hoorah! I just had to tell everyone. Now I'm famous for been cool...RIGHT!?

Will it allow you to go beyond 256 colors though (for the animations)?
That's "Dr. BlkKnight" to all of you.

All that does is change the file extension. You could name it .txt and it won't be a text file, you'll only have notepad trying to open it.

It still executes as a .gif. It's not an animated .png file. There was actually a proposal a while back, there was a small extension added to the .png format that allowed for animation (much smoother and prettier than gif), but it was rejected in favor of .gif. Technically, a .png file CANNOT be animated.
All you've done is change the file extension. It doesn't change the file and there's no advantage to it.
