Please excuse me if this is in the wrong place...but I have been looking into finding good spots to advertise my comic...just unsure as to how to go about it. I have heard a lot about a site called Online Comics, the site says it's like a database for all the online comics that are out there and helps you find them. Would this be a good site to add my own comic to their directory as a kind of "ad" to let others know I'm out there? Thank you all for the help. ^_^ *I'm so new to this digital thing..lol..*

It wouldn't hurt to toss it on there, though I honestly am not too impressed with it. It seems rather slow and half the time I try to access the site, it's down or way slower than it should be.

However, you don't have to spend 24/7 on the site just to put your comic up. Put it up and leave it. People will come by one way or another.

Man, I'm peeved at them right now. It's been a couple or so weeks since I put their link up on my page, and my submitted comic still isn't approved. (They say it takes 3-4 days usually.) And no one's responded to my message about it. But maybe I'm being unfairly impatient...

Of all those sites, I've had the most success with The Webcomics List; but probably I get average 500/month hits coming from there, which I don't think is terribly great. But it doesn't hurt to add your comic to all the list sites you can find. There's a bunch of 'em out there; just google it. :)

Woot...thanks to you both...that helps. Are they really THAT slow? How very aggravating indeed! I usualy hate waiting for things myself...it's either now or never. lol...I will indeed google some up. True, people having been popping by since I just kinda left it up there...just hoping to expand my audience and get some good critiques too.

I've never even heard of Online Comics.

I find that topwebcomics.com, belfrycomics.net, and webcomicplanet.com are really good ones for listing your stuff.

I've noticed that The Webcomics List has issues with pinging Drunk Duck sites archives for their lists (or it might just be me...)

OC used to be great. Now it kind of sucks. It's very slow, crashes a lot... it evened out last month but now it's back to sucking. Takes forever to process applications (though I submitted LF during a clear period, and it only took a couple of weeks). It used to be really great though, and I still like using it to get my comic updates, despite its slow-and-not-working-ness. :(

I don't get hits from many listing sites, though. I just list for the sake of listing.

Ohhh...so that explains why when I tired going over to comics online, nothing happend. Just the endless, mind numbing spinning of the "busy" mouse signal. O.O That was annoying. Sounds like their website runs just as smoothly as the Zero 2 Hero's website...*laughs sarcasticly* Thanks for listing those other sites! I'll check those out. I've never listed before...so I'm kinda interested in seeing what happens after.
