An easy way to check (because the number is always changing) is by going to the Browse page. On that page it will tell you there's over 14,200 comics (strip and story together) which have at least 2 pages, and if you change the search a little it will tell you that Story is 8,770 of that and Strip is the rest.
Keep in mind that a large number of comics on DD (up to half?) are totally inactive- still, 890 out of 14,000 gets you in the top 7% or something. :]
Nice to see you have a new page up, I'm guessing you've had a drop during the hiatus. New pages usually mean a rise in rank. :]
