okay, i've had an inspiration for my comic. but i want your take on it. so, the main boy of the comic. Should it be:
cocky, superiority-complex poke-theif Edric,
or,
quiet, icy-hearted super-pokemon Mewtwo
?
honestly, i find the latter more inspiring.

I think you shouldn't make a comic about Pokemon, period. Srsly.

If you ARE going to make a comic about Pokemon (though I do feel there's wisdom in Mlai's words here) then I say go with the former. If you have Mewtwo as your main character, it will lead to problems because:
1. Cold-hearted, cool, icy characters are hard to relate to, and only work well if they're either monologuing all the time (so that the reader is privy to their thoughts and the feeling they hide from others) or if they have an outgoing sidekick/foil/buddy to bounce off.
2. Mewtwo is really, really powerful. This leads to similar storyline problems as Superman. How does one make situations which are genuinely threatening to something that's really powerful? With Superman it's generally that the threat is to the city or people he cares about, but with Mewtwo being so cold-hearted, there's not a lot he really likes enough to feel emotionally threatened.

again. already started.
he isn't the main character, he's the guy the main character is going after maybe.
And THANK YOU for your opinion, and for stating your reasons behind it.

LOL, who am I to talk, I guess. I drew comics ranging from Shinobi Pac-Man to Rollerderby Q-bert, among other things. If I was that age again, I'm sure I'd be drawing Pokemon + Sonic + Megaman LMAO, and Pokemon is much better for drawing practice than Pac-Man.
Mewtwo seems to be the same character template as Knuckles or Zero, except with power on the level of Tetsuo. Definitely the makings of an antagonist (but not necessarily villain).

Wait a second. Is your girl a person or a pokemon? 'Cause if it's a person, and you're thinking of pairing her up with a pokemon.....that's just creepy.....like a bad fanfic....
In any case I really think you should consider doing Ed or whatever his name is, because of what I said and for all the reasons Darth stated.
