A massive comic turn off for me is when the author tries to force their opinion in as a punchline. I don't even mean political opinions or anything important, just stuff like complaining about bands being too emo or sell-outs, or whining about how every game that isn't Ocarina of Time is terrible, and plenty of "aren't vegetarians stupid?"
It bothers me mostly because the author sacrificed doing an actual joke for a stupid shallow opinion. Like they actually drew up a full page simply because they wanted to say something sucks.
I don't read webcomics because I care about your opinions.

I don't come from an anime or manga background either so I've no baked in predisposition to such things. I just find chibi really entertaining and charming.
But I couldn't draw that way myself if I tried.
