If I had the time to do some quick animations on Flash MX with my characters, I totally would've. Maybe in the future. But for now, I came up with some ideas both for a movie version of my comic (I'd like it animated by Disney, without a doubt... and I'd like to be creative consultant. xD) and a television spin-off. Watching the movies I got and know, along with voice clips at a poor attempt at animating the two main leads at the moment, I've come to these conclusions.
I'll ask my friend on IM to see what she thinks. ^^
Film Version:
Dick van Dyke as Patrick. Genejoke mentioned that Pat's speak sounded quite like it, and after checking this out, I'd say it's perfect. xD Unless I can track down the kid who voiced the Artful Dodger in this Canadian cartoon adaptation I've got of Oliver Twist on DVD, he too would be great. *goes to look this up* I mention the kid mostly in part because it's more sensible as opposed to Dick's; kind of a letdown that the audio masters who transferred my cartoon onto DVD that his voice is nearly sublimed and hard to hear, but it's audible enough to be understood. Not as thick as Dick's and a nice alternative.
Reason being it's loud, it's crazy, and Dick's exploding personality fits the bill for what I've got in mind. For a movie in which I want it to be an action/adventure picture with comedy and romance blended in, Dick's energy fits perfectly.
Steve Buscemi as Vinnie
He's got that... frail, sort of voice. Patrick being the most outspoken commentator out there and 'out for some', Vinnie's the more sensible one.
This .wav sums it about up about Vinnie. And this line
here . It's got a nice twang to it, a little feeble and curious. Work that into someone who's Pat's voice of reason, and it fits.

Supposing I get this, I'd like to experiment with the concept of having a female be Patrick's voice. If it worked for Ash of Pokemon and that of Son Goku with no such complaint, I see no problem having Bonnie Langford do his voice. She was quite sound as 'Rumpelteazer' from the Cats musical - why not? Deepen it a little, and I think it could work. An alternate for me? Whoever voices most of Michael J. Fox's animated characters.
Bonnie:
David Kaufman (alternative)
(to pair him up with Cathy Cavadini again, who voiced Tanya Mousekewitz, would be epic sauce. Both played Marty/Jennifer in the animated series, respectfully)
-- And, to voice Vinnie... --
Jim Cummings. Accept no substitute. I can name many I particularly enjoyed with his voice - from SWAT Kats, The Pagemaster, Bonkers D. Bobcat, but I think... he shines the most here for Vinnie's voice as for Vinnie.
Another alternative would be Frank Welker, the original Fred from 'Scooby-Doo' (and usually the only one who returns to play as Fred no matter WHAT incarnation Scooby gets), would be another. I'd be looking for more of the same from Buscemi in the film version, but to the best of their ability. If it ain't perfect, eh, no matter. After all, sometimes I figure Kaufman's Marty McFly voice was kinda... nasally whiney, nerdish, for some reason, at some points.
