Can human's see the ghosts?

What if there was one who saw them and became their confidant, and another who catches glimpses of them and it becomes his/her mission to reveal their existence to the rest of the school?

I don't know if that's cliche or not, but it would be a fun and easy to get into storyline, but you can also use it as a tool to slowly reveal darker secrets of the after life.

Yeah, you could even have two different feeling storylines as well. Like being able to take the same supernatural event but tell it from two different perspectives by both characters. Theres lots you can do with your premises :D
