So, I first saw the teaser for this attached to Transformers, and over time, they've gone through with some forms of viral advetising, mostly involving some sort of fictional japanese drink and some rather cryptic blogs. You can learn about it on it's Wikipedia entry [en.wikipedia.org].
So, does anyone have any information on this aside from stuff that's common knowledge? I know JJ Abrams is attached to it.
Does this sort of marketing and secrecy work on you guys? It's definitely got me interested in the movie.

Pretty sure. Star Trek takes place in the future, and I am unsure if Alias had giant monsters in it.

Could be misdirection with the big monsters and setting.
