I've been having a lot of fun with my sketches lately. I've been doing all the awesome classic girls of comics.
It's a lot of fun, but there's so many awesome characters it's hard to pick and choose.

My latest one is wonder woman. :3 It's a really rough sketch, that i felt like coloring.
Who should I do next? I'm debating elektra...or Rogue?

I'd like to see you do Captain America!

Or even Spider-Woman!

It's Wonder WOMAN, not Wonder Girl. That face... does not match.

Well, it is an anime pic. There's not really THAT much more she could possibly add to make it more 'woman' like.

I mean, if she added wrinkles, then her face would look too old.

mishi_hime may not have wanted criticism (nor may other people who are posting in this forum), so please keep that in mind when you read threads. Generally if a person wants feedback they will ask for it. In this case, to me, it looks like she was sharing, and wanted ideas on who to draw next. I know that artists often feel a sort of community responsibility to advise where they see a need for improvement, but if it's unexpected or even unwanted it can be really discouraging. We do try to respect that not everyone is looking for criticism when they share. :]

Oval up the eyes a bit and give her some cheekbones and she's be a woman.

as my own comment I'd say it's not bad, but the hair doesnt really feel attatched to the head, more like its some fancy crap coming down from the top of her tiara. Also the shading doesnt make any sense what so ever, its very scattered and random, and her face is kinda crooked.

Yea that was the point, since i really didn't try....

Oh what the hell. Give me your critisms! I will agree that her face is pretty god awful.

I typically have this problem, with everything. Unless I look at reference pic, my lighting is completely wrong.
I don't know how to visualize light. What do you guys do?

You just have to picture where your light source is coming from. Like, if it was from the top, you would shade the parts towards the bottom of stuff (pants, shoes, revealed part of skin when wearing a shirt by the neck, etc)

Imagine a very strong light source from one angle and try to think about it normally looks like at the time of day or particular situation . Even if I'm doing diffused light that helps me at least figure out what side it's going to be on.

sometimes I draw a little lightbulb where the light is coming from... and then you think about where light would hit the figure (on the parts closest to the lightbulb, and the parts that aren't in shadow from other parts.)

I think critique itself isn't bad, Mr Lostman just needs to learn some manners when it comes to doling it out.
