Seriously, killing dogs? I see nothing wrong with that.It's better to do that then let the diesease pass on to even more dogs. They're just isolating the problem with a lil' bit of overkill.

It's true that some actually drank their own urine. Not because they like it. But because there are certain useful minerals in our body that never get absorbed properly into our body and according to the traditional chinese medicine, our urine contains certain minerals that our body loses. By drinking back the urine, we reabsorb the minerals. There are newspaper reports even in my country of people who drank urine got cured of diabetics, liver problems and many uncurable diseases. According to the reports, you should only drink your urine when you wake up in the morning. Urine should never be consumed on other periods of time because of the amount of toxic accumulation in the urine.

By the way, not all Chinese in China eat dog meat. Many, especially those from the big cities, have now been "brainwashed" by western culture that eating dogs are cruel. I would say many of them have started to consider dogs as pets instead of food.

Woah, that's crazy...

I being a dog lover myself see where you are coming from and I agree. I have a dog of my own and to me he's like my very own child. (...a bit on the fuzzy side of course) I feel killing (much less eating) a dog is unforgiveable. To me that would be like somebody taking a baby and chopping it up to put in a pot of stew.
Either way though....I hate to say it, but it's none of our business as people who aren't citizens there to tell China what they can and can't do, no matter how horrible it may seem. I'm sure other places do things that China isn't terribly fond of either.

As far as the racist comment:

Having the title be: "China is retarded" automatically, in my mind hints racism. You may not have meant it in a racist way, even though you do disagree what they choose to do where they live. But I think you should think before posting such things in a public forum. I personally find the title distastful and personally offending even though I am not Chinese. Please try in the future to show some respect. Thank you.

Hey, writing "China is retarded" isn't racist by any sensible definition. China is a country, not a person, it's a country that contains millions of different peoples from different "racial" backgrounds. If anything it's just a really stupid thing someone says as an emotional reaction to something that disturbs them. Come on, this abuse of the language through ignorance has to stop... Using the idiotic term "racist" willy-nilly is problematic too, for too many reasons to go into. But that's a separate debate and I'm stupidly furthering this "debate" by replying.

I hope our returning debate mod locks it.
