Hrm.
I would estimate there's about a 0% chance I'd ever see this. Really bored of CG heavy fluff and I never much liked the Speed Racer license.
Good cast on John Goodman for Pops, though.

"You tell yourself to just
enjoy the process," he added. "That whether you succeed or fail, win or
lose, it will be fine. You pretend to be Zen. You adopt detachment, and
ironic humor, while secretly praying for a miracle."

What the heck happened to the Wachowski Brothers?
They went from The Matrix Trilogy to this?
This looks like crappy...and I am sorry but seeing John Goodman in there with all the bright colors reminded me of the crappy Flintstones Movie.
Yikes!

I loved Speed Racer as a kid.

But that trailer looked like utter crap.

Must movie studios continue to destroy my childhood?

I am afraid of this movie. There is no way it can possibly be any good, and yet the studio still gave it a green light.

Also, Chernobog, besides John Goodman we also have Richard Roundtree (aka, Shaft). I feel immensely sorry for these two talented actors being forced into a movie that will undoubtedly be a bomb.
A Roll of the Dice now with full-size pages!

John Clyde now with ten times the tacky Hawaiian shirts!

I saw this for the first time the other day. After seeing Hirsch in Into the Wild, then in this trailer, it was almost tempting to revoke his awesome status.

Hmmmm.... I don't see this being good.. I can almost appreciate some of the visual elements, everyone knows the wachowski brothers love their anime and you can see an attempt to recreate the style in the CG somewhat. But still this looks pretty bad. Want to like it, but can't. We'll see.

It reminds me of those shitty Hot Wheels CGI movies & TV specials they did a few years ago. Racer X should totally get his own movie though, other wise known in Japan as
Fukuman Racer.
