That kind of tactic has the purpose of generating awareness with regards to the issue being put forth by the activist group.

The more awareness of the issue, the more likely it is for government to pass legislation in support of the issue.

Really the plan is to try and just generate support. E! News ran a story on Invisible children today. A group of them are in Chicago trying to get Oprah to come and endorse them. I was thinking that if we spread the word and got people to go to the site, some of them would help out (there's a few ways listed on the home page). We could also support them by doing those things as well. One of them is to order pizza for them since they can't leave. It'd actually be pretty cool if we could get DD to endorse and/or support Invisible Children.

but the ending would actually be a conflict of the us government and the many countries in africa or their many warlords that use child soldiers.

they use child soldiers because all their men have died in a pointless stupid landwar that goes back and forth...

do you think they would jut give them up because some people are just shaking their finger on the other side of the world?
