I was half inspired by the GTA 4 concept art, for this. And I feel like doing a series. This is my first one, and something feels off.

I don't know if it's because I'm not used to working without black lineart. Or the contrast between her skin tone and the black. Or something else.

Try flipping/mirroring it in whatever art-program you're using - it might be that it it's skewed too far to one side.

To me, it looks as if her head is too narrow; there should be more mass to the back of her head, because it's not just hair - there's a skull beneath it, too.

Otherwise, it looks really good. I like the combination of detailed character/stylised background. :)
The Continued Misadventures of Bonebird - a poor bird's quest for the ever-elusive and delicious apples.

somebody already mentioned that to me, I'm slowly working towards it.

So far I've done a bit more too it.

Nice, I doubt I could do it better.
The one thing that seems a bit off to me is the neck, it looks very thin and a bit too much to the right.
I hope that helped, good luck with it.
Because I may as well show a bit of pride. ^___^

Great drawing.
I know what you mean... the head does not seem to exist behind the hair.
Possible if you moved the highlighted strip to the right a bit more?
About where the dark strip is?
It may bring the hair 'forward'?

The second image - it looks like the right eye is a little off - like it's not lined up right with the face; the perspective is just a little wonky there. I'd raise it more, if that's possible. It might disappear under the hair more, but the face will look better.

^^
I disagree,
I'd say the left (character's right) eye is in need of a little adjustment, it seems at an unnatural angle on the face, perhaps bring it down a little...
That said, these pictures exhibit alot more drawing talent than certainly I possess.
Good work!
:)
Timmy And the Bleach

There are many things in this world that are uncertain
I'd say I'm one of them
But I'm not sure
