I tried to upload a comic page for my comic. Note i haven't done this in a while LOL xD.

Anyway when i tried to upload i got this

"The adding of new comics has been temporarily disabled. This functionality should be fully restored by Monday, 12/14/2009 @ 8:00 AM PST

I would like to also note that it is the 20th of december and it does not seem like anyone else is having any problems uploading pages. Does anyone have any advice or know why this is happening to me?

You did read the news article about the freeze, right?

Any updates you saw were automatic updates that were entered before the database was frozen.

It looks like they just re-used the text they had used the weekend before- that's why it says December 14th instead of 21st. :] Still, I can imagine people who saw those dates and wondered why something still wasn't back on after a week.

I'm also having the same problem all of a sudden. It still says that same date, and it's not even the same year now. Is it just me?

I also cannot upload comic pages at this time. Thought it would be operational as soon as the forums came back up this morning. Any idea when this will be fixed? I won't have a comic up tomorrow because of it. Sad puppy. :(

Er, it seems that creating comics is still disabled. I'll click on the "Create a New Comic!" button, and I'm still getting the "Adding comics has been temporarily disabled" error message. I'm new here, so I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or not.

EDIT: Oh, I didn't see that someone already made a topic about that.

Likely the copy of DD that you were working off was an older version cached by your ISP at the time, since uploading comics has been 100% since I posted that it was above you in this thread ;)

Oz- not uploading comics, CREATING comics. The 'create a new comic' page hasn't been re-enabled.

on a related note, file uploading seems to be down, (with the same 12/14/2009 time-stamp on its reappearance) i haven't seen any posts mentioning this particular part of the server move, so i'm just curious if the problem is on my end, and if it isn't, when it might be expected to come back up. thanks.

I seem to be having the same problem now. I uploaded last Sunday but when I tried to upload my new page for Wednesday, it doesn't seem to want to upload anything.
