For some reason, every time I enter a comment, it won't show up

PS What's up with that box where you enter the text. I tried that while entering a comment, but nothing

Volte6 recently put that up as a quick solution to the bots that started coming back to DD.

Try putting all the letters as capitals. I get the feeling it's cap sensitive and all the letters used in the image are uppercase and not lowercase letters.

I tried caps and no caps. Nothing

That's weird. It didn't work for me without caps but it worked for me with caps. Lemme go fiddle around again.

I definitely could not make a comment with lowercase letters. I could when I have them all on uppercase. I've noticed though that I can't comment again soon after I made a comment. I had to wait about a minute before I was able to post a comment again. I'm guessing the delay is intentional so as to make sure that the bots don't flood the commenting system?

;_; tried 5-6 times for Barb, can't seem to get one through, though it might be that I'm misreading the letters, one coulda been a 9, or a stray hair :P did try capitals though, no dice...

I mostly stuck to comments although I did rate Barb's comic. I'm using Firefox and in all of them, I typed all the letters from the image in uppercase.

I'm not sure why it's not working for everyone but I'll just share what I got.

! got one 8) *edit* I think I was capitalizing the first part, then forgetting to cap after numbers.

nope, appears to be resisting the posts still.

It only works one out of 5 times or so for me. Really annoying.

I signed out to sign back in again, to see if that would relieve the problem, and now i can't sign back in. Oops.

Ah! So you've noticed that delay as well. A delay doesn't help with a verification model because the code changes each time you comment; no flooding.
I'm guessing that having the delay system still functioning at the same time means that the code doesn't get registered properly most of the time, forcing you to try again. And again...
Or something like that.

I'm not sure why the commenting system isn't working properly but that makes sense. It also explains why some people can comment while other can't.

Regardless, hopefully it'll get fixed when Volte6 comes back. Maybe a better temporary solution would be to have the mute function working instead? Although that might affect that karma system in the future wouldn't it? :S
