I traded it for my giant, throbbing signature that was taking up half the space on the "signed in" list.
It was a good thing as well. It was getting waaay too big for anyone to handle.

Well it's obvious it's altered, unless a mod was to go in and actually alter another users posts. That's not an issue on a bigtime site like this of course and I certainly wouldn't subscribe to a site where that kind of juvenile behaviour took place.

I would have gone with trust. The users trust the mod/admin not to willy nilly edit posts and the mod/admin trusts the users not to falsely accuse them of such.
