just had a look on the website and some stuff hasn't updates from 08 and other areas are blank ....

has this con died?

Erm there's two answers to this

1. The convention itself has changed there's going to be two conventions running together this year, one on Saturday for small press and the other over the weekend for "large press"

2. The website has changed as well (I think) but a search through google hasn't turned it up yet, but I've stuck a link to the Small press one which is in conjuction with it and hopefully there should be a link lurking somewhere to the actual expo http://www.thefallenangel.co.uk/spexpo/ [thefallenangel.co.uk]

I had no idea ther WAS a Bristol comic con. Might go to that consiering its so close.

The Bristol Expo is actually the UK's longest running 'traditional' show (i think Caption has been going longer but that's not so much a convention as an excuse for artists to get hammered and chat :) and is also the largest show in the UK (though Birmingham may take that crown this year).

The Expo is being run with Fantasy Events this year, the website is - http://www.fantasyevents.org/index2.html [fantasyevents.org] They have some awesome guests this year but all the creator tables have gone.

SPExpo is a sister event running on Sat. 9th May focusing more on small press and indie artists and creators though we have some main stream guests in too.
