The boy was playing WOW for 2 weeks straight and had to go to the hospital when he collapsed.

I wonder where the parents went. Honestly, if your kid's playing a game to the point where he/she collapses from lack of food or sleep, you've got a problem.

Two weeks seems a bit extreme, though. Last case like this I saw it was 15 hours straight on no food, drink or sleep. 'Course, two weeks without food would be possible too, providing they drink something, otherwise they'd die from dehydration and kidney failure already before the first week's gone by.

Also, 'eck is the news article link? For all the world knows, you just grabbed that story out of the air.

The problem is where it's always been, the person. I play WoW, I'm taking a hiatus because I'm bored with it right now, so I can honestly tell you it's not the game, I've even cancelled my subscription so I will not be able to play it at all till I renew it. Which leads me to believe the one thing I always thought about these stories... the kids an idiot.

Harsh I guess, but honestly I get right into my games as I'm sure a lot of people in this forum are, how many of you ever needed to be taken to hospital over it?

At least no one here has tried to blame WoW for it, though that would be amusing.

Wrath of the Lich King just came out and you're already BORED with it? It actually got me re-interested in the game because they went back to a gothic fantasy style, where Burning Crusade was high fantasy (which I never liked). The amount of detail they put in WOtLK was incredible.

Just too much WoW I'm going to play something else for a while, my interest fades in and out, plus I hate the crowds you have to deal with, when it comes to brand new content. I got My priest to level 75 and I finally just got sick of having fifty different people doing the same quest as me. I'm mostly there for the lore which is hard to take in when you have those people who aren't interested... totally ruined the battle of lights hope chapel on my death knight for me.
