I just finished reading #5 (I'm only reading the main series, with a few side issues here and there - the ones that come with the different Lantern Corps' power rings, to be honest), and I'm really digging it. I've enjoyed all of Geoff Johns' event stuff in the past, but he's working on a whole new level of ridiculous now, getting to fully indulge his death/resurrection and Silver Age comics obsessions.

Seriously, evil zombie Batman? I always hoped I'd have a reason to say those words, and now I've gotten one!

lol,i do that too. i just read #5 recently myself, & it was rediculous. i don't think barry or hal are going 2 escape the rings, mostly because of the booster gold storyline. my brother likes booster gold 4 some reason, idk why, but since almost all th dc books are linked in a way, his requires him 2 go throughout time i stop some guy from killing superheroes when they're babies or whatever. anyway, in one that arc they say something about guy gardner being a universal hero & recognized as the greatest green lantern of all time for being so instrumental in the blackest night crisis.

on another note, is it just me or does the series up to this point seem 2 be more about the flash than the green lantern? i'm also interested to see what part lex is going to play in this. it was also pretty cool to see the different oaths of the other corps.

The great thing about this whole "everyone who's ever died can be overtaken by the Black Lantern" rings thing is that this is mainstream superhero comics. Everyone's died at one time or another, so is there anyone that's actually immune? I kind of doubt it (didn't Zauriel even die at one point?).

I think Geoff's still adjusting to the whole "I get to write Barry Allen!" thing, and that's why there's so much more Flash than anyone had expected. Not that I'm complaining; everyone was so focused on Hal Jordan to the expense of practically everyone else for so long that you could almost forget there was another character...
