Look in options for something that says :

Someone
antialias

Jokes aside, I rented it on the 360 and beat it for the "good" ending. Now would you kindly just play the game as is? It may not have anti-alias options, but its a damn fine game. I probably won't ever play it again after beating it, but it was damn fine.

You owe it to yourself if you like good games to play this one. Its different from other things, but its still very much a first person shooter. Monster closets and crate searching, lots of gun play with rocket launchers and stuff. The unique stuff here is the story is interesting (even with the same cliche plot twists every video game likes to use for some reason) and you get to use magical stem cell powers like throwing bees or freezing people. I give it a 4 out of 5, the only points I knocked off were for the weirdness of the physics at times (corpse limbs shaking when their clearly dead), load screens took ten seconds too long, the plot took twists that were too easy and duex ex machinay for my tastes plus I've had the same twists in games as in bioshock happen too often pretty much every game has this one in particular, and I'm knocking off a point for the game not doing what I wanted. Like freezing water leaking from a faucet. I figured, that would work, but it didn't. Little things like that. Also the ghosts that show up on occasion and slow you down and interupt gameplay. That crap happens in a lot of games these days and I really hate it. Still this is a good game. Lot of fun explosions and some customization options. Not enough customization options for me, thats another thing that takes that point off. Some of the powers seemed lame to me.

Great game none the less. I can't wait for the confirmed sequel.

Rent it. It's a pretty short game, and if you're all upset about antialiasing, don't worry. I hardly even noticed. The game is just damn beautiful.

I probably would've bought this game, but the demo wouldn't run on my computer. It's no surprise, my computer's kind of old. I think when I build a new computer with my tax return money next year I'll give Bioshock a chance. Maybe it'll be cheaper by then, too.

Typically Antialiasing is a checkbox you can select in the video settings menu of a game. However, oftentimes you have to go to the advanced settings to find it. If the game automatically chose its settings based on your system, chances are that it chose to turn antialiasing off because your system wouldn't handle it well. But if you pry into the advanced settings, you're usually free to play around and find the mix that works best for you.

Antialiasing can only be forced in BioShock through the graphics card control panel in both Windows XP and Windows Vista...it doesn't have an internal option to do it. and i am not able to force it with my control panel. i've got a big screen so without the antialias i see a lot of jaggies which makes me dizzy when i play the game.
