Between Chapter Extras

Hey what would/do you guys put for extra content and filler in between chapters? Besides just a single work of art. I kinda need a boost of ideas. I got an idea for like a funny recap but I kinda want some other ideas too.

Hmm... I've only recently finished my first chapter, but I what I've done at the end is include a party status key at the end of the page to show everyone's condition.
Between chapters, though, I've made a chapter title page showing a certain point in the next chapter.
I've also thought about doing something that shows typos and drawing/coloring errors I've made through the finished chapter.

By the time you finish this, you'll have read it. :3

Grayson over at Thunderstruck (a non-DD comic I adore) does "outtakes" between his chapters. They're fun and light-hearted breaks between the story (which can get a little intense).

I don't tend to do between chapter extras, then again, that's probably because once chapter one's over, I'm into chapter two with Wyrden. I do however sometimes put in a character card, explanation of a piece of technology or some other cool factoid about the world I've designed.
I think it adds a little more to the whole thing and gives a rare insight into some of the places, things, characters and so on.

I've only really done filler three times that I can think of, The first one was a sketch of Higgin's Tower, the second was a Sharpie drawing of Creature holding a flower, the third was a watercolor of Cricket and Creature watching a sunset

Between chapters, I throw in filler art. Usually of upcoming characters.

When I do my fillers, I usually put the main characters in strange situations, doing things they would never do in the comic, like dressing costumes for Carnival and stuff.
When Mireille Bouquet jumps into a lake, she doesn't get wet. The water gets Mireille Bouquet!

I'm all about education in my series...
My extras are usually a single-page "pictionary" of terminology used in education. With a definition in the author's comments - For instance:
It just works for me - I always imagine that other series especially dealing with war, witchcraft or gaming terminology, would follow suit. I'm sure many series on DD do.

Between chapters I move any filler or fan art I may have posted during my comic to the end. I may upload a random picture but I usually just spend time working ahead or practicing something so I don't upload anything. I just vanish for a bit =p
Read "The Devon Legacy".

I write too fast and have way too much "buffer" (unintentional) to go creating extras. However, as a fun little break, I have chibi characters breaking the fourth wall and reacting to each new chapter title. (Fourth wall breaking is fun to do between chapters.)

I add to my cast list and Rogue's Gallery, and also the list of my character's inventions.

That's probably what I'll be doing when I finish Chapter 2. I have to design a whole new set of characters and settings so I'll probably post a few character studies and such.

Usually I just take breaks if anything in between chapters.
Only if something is going on like a contest or if there is a long delay will I put up a filler.
So yeah....sometimes.

I think what I'm going to do after Chapter One, is either put up a tutorial, or a small pencil drawn comic.
But that's for the future to tell :P

I didn't do any breaks between the first 3 books of Due East, but after Book 3, I had several pages of fan art followed by some fun filler material that eventually led to Off Hours' creation. :)
Here's one example that was fun to do, and it had "guest stars" from Wolf, Used Books, Super Temps and Aurora of the High Seas:
